Great, now they can shoot at our troops, but without....
Iraqis will still be allowed to keep handguns, rifles and shotguns. But the new instructions contain a lengthy of list of much heavier weapons that would be prohibited to most people: machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades, shoulder-fired missiles, antiaircraft guns, mortars, land mines and grenades.
They also get to keep their AK-47 assault rifles. So, barring the loose and unclaimed RPG, our troops are pretty much matched evenly on weapons. Great. I'm sure the only ones used to seeing heavily-armed civilian opponents are the Police Officers called up to Active Duty, it'll seem like old home week for them.
The NRA must be so happy. Wayne LaPierre is probably dancing in the Oval Office (hopefully with the intern of his choice).
