Howard Kurtz Just Doesn't Get It
Didja see Reliable Sources today? They had Gwen Ifill of NPR, Tucker Carlson of Crossfire and some guy from the WSJ on to talk about the media's role in bringing down Trent Lott. Gwen and Tucker both claimed that they "went with the story" on the night it happened. No one mentioned (at least that I heard) Atrios, TPM or the shitstorm that occured out here on the internet as a major factor in making the allegedly mainstream media cover the story.
