Have you seen the Virgin Ben's ode to TBogg? Wow, Ben Shapiro is defending Rush Limbaughs lifestyle to beat up on TBogg.
It is scurrilous of Rush's opponents to automatically assume that he began using prescription drugs recreationally (which they did, automatically branding him a run-of-the-mill "drug addict" and referring to OxyContin as "hillbilly heroin" -- the implication being that Rush was using OxyContin for fun). It seems to me a fair assumption that he did not. And lo and behold, it turns out that when Rush did speak, he validated my perspective. I don't expect an apology from TBogg anytime soon.
...
If TBogg had actually read my column, he might have come across this line: "All drug addicts deserve sympathy, but prescription painkiller addicts clearly deserve more sympathy than recreational users."
Gee, and I could have sworn that someone taking "hillbilly heroin" by the cigar-box full would fit the definition of a recreational user. As to how he started, it's a fair assumption he started on a prescription before moving on from the Preseciption Gateway. Whether or not it was for "real" pain is known but to El Gasbag himself.
I would hardly call any assertion "scurrilous", especially when talking about the Slandah Pandah, Limbaugh, no one in America in modern times has made more scurrilous assertions than the horse-loving junkie himself. Oh and Ben, if they have not mentioned this in your school, a painkiller without a prescription is just an illegal, controlled substance. Just thought I'd mention that, ya over-educated yahoo.

Comments:
That fat, disgusting barfbag Fascist prick may have started out with *legal* drugs, i.e. a prescribed painkiller. It is a matter of record that the scrip ran out, and he went to the street to buy his drugs, which is *illegal*, i.e. a crime.
Naturally, like all the cowardly Chickenhawk Fascist bullies, he got someone else to do the dirty deed in his place.
But, trying to be a nice guy, I'll take a look at that idiot Shapiro's contention that it was for "the pain"....
Gee, the guy golfs like a mofo, doesn't he? No back pain at the Pro-Am. No pain at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. No back pain at the 2003 American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe. In fact, he is on record as saying it was the third time he played that week - in fact he said he was doing things he'd never done before, that he was excelling.
Shapiro's pathetic partisan babblings are revealed for the Fascist propaganda that they are.
Lies.
Just like listening to the Obesity In Broadcasting Network, it seems.
Or to Commander Codpiece's very rare press conferences.

I would love to see something bad happen to Rush, BUT....
this is a "perfect storm" of yellow journalism, rabid anti-drug warriors, prescribing practices dictated by county sheriffs, money and deceit.
The best thing to do is insist on a fair and public trial so Rush won't be unfairly smeared by allegations. Unanswered questions will only harm his "reputation", so let's get it all out in the open. Let the facts speak for themselves and you won't end up on a diet of your own words.

For crying out loud. If someone is using drugs "recreationally" then they are not addicts. One someone becomes addicted, the tearm recreationally does not apply. When you are addicted, you are in hell. Who gives a rats ass over what go you addicted. It's nothing more than rationalizing to cover up the fact that Rush was an addict and was getting his drugs illegially. He was breaking the law. I will not attack the man's morality because I have no business pointing my fingers. However, I am tired of hearing about "why" Rush became an addict as a means to still make him a "better" person than others. That is continued arrogance. It's also a sin.
Elvis Presley was addicted to prescription drugs: a doctor wrote prescriptions and the drugs were bought at a drug store.
A heroin addict buys from a dealer who bought from a wholesaler who bought from an importer who bought from a manufacturer who bought from a poppy farmer.
Rush bought from his housekeeper who bought from a dealer who bought from a burglar/robber who stole from a pharmacy, or a mugger who stole from someone who had been prescribed the drug.
Rush is not only a junkie, he is a receiver of stolen goods.
I'm sure that the disabled veteran who is waiting for weeks to have his prescription replaced by the VA after being mugged for his Oxycontin really feels bad about Rush's pain.
Prescription drugs enter the illegal market as a result of theft. People who buy them are criminals twice over.

The real story here is that TBogg is getting right up the Virgin Ben's nose. Kewl.

Doesn't matter: you're wrong, of course. The Virgin Ben is far too pure of spirit, not to mention kewl, and imbued with the Holy Haunt manifestation of the Invisible Cloud Being to ever be bothered by someone like TBogg.
The Virgin Ben knows that godless ahteistic communism, and its Satanic spawn, the Democratic Party are doomed - doomed, I say, to eternal damnation and perdition because of its evil proselytizing of free drugs, free sex, special Constitutional ammendments making gay and lesbian marriages available on demand, lifetime welfare, 50% off discounts for Cadillac convertibles and most nefarious of all, clean public toilets.
