Don't get me wrong: I hated the car tax. Often I would lie awake at night, wondering how in goddess' name I was going to pay that damn thing when my registration came due. But it still troubles me to no end that the repeal was given by Executive Order. THE VERY FIRST THING THE GOVERNATOR DID UPON BEING SWORN IN WAS TO CIRCUMVENT OUR STATE'S ENTIRE SYSTEM OF CHECKS AND BALANCES. This bodes ill, my friends.
