If there were any one crime that we could legitimately take the Evil-Doer Saddam to trial for it would be the attack on the USS Stark (FFG-31) in 1987. Who could object to that? Funny that none of the 'fighting keyboarders' seem to remember that little incident, isn't it?

An Exocet fired from a Mirage and we sent a damn diplomatic note and then supported the bastard. Thank you Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush.
Diplomatic notes to Irsael for the Liberty, to North Korea for the Pueblo and the EC-121, and to Lybia for the C-130 attack over Med.
And people wonder why some veterans don't trust the government.

Jeez, Jo. At the time that was probably read as a "friendly fire" incident by the then (and future) boys in the White House.
While we're busy glorifying the made-for-TV stories of PVT Lynch, we've completely ignored what were some of the most dramatic acts of heroism in the damage control efforts aboard the STARK.
