Janklow of South Dakota. Truly Disgusting. He kills a guy, has multiple speeding offenses and gets this:
Bill Janklow, who dominated South Dakota politics for three decades as governor and then congressman, was sentenced to 100 days in jail Thursday for an auto accident that killed a motorcyclist and ended Janklow’s career in disgrace.
After 30 days behind bars, Janklow will be allowed to leave jail during the day for up to 10 hours to perform community service. After he completes his jail term, he will be on probation for three years, during which he will not be allowed to drive.
Martha Stewart who is facing a Securities Violation will probably get at least a Year if convicted and have to pay hefty fines.
Martha was a Democratic donor in New York, Janklow is a "Family Values" Republican Convicted Killer from the "Heartland". I hope that civil litigation brought by the relatives of the victim leave Janklow with a roll of toilet paper and a can of dog food.
As Arlo Guthrie said, "just another case of American Blind Justice".

Comments:
WOW! Thanks for catching this one, Jo. And it really does seem so incredible that:
1. Repugnicants preach compassionate conservatism, yet they are the only ones who receive the compassion; and
2. The Media Whores ignore it, and the sheeple look for your tinfoil hat when you tell them about it.
The Irony Alert Meter is going off again. I guess that means it's time to head off to work and earn my daily bread...
The sad part of all thi is that this convicted criminal will start driving again, immediately.
I guess the next time he runs a stop sign or red light and kills someone he'll get 6 months.

maybe the world will get lucky and he'll get beaten to death in jail.

Bloody politicians. If he had been a regular person, they'd have put him away for years, but no, since he's some conservative, blowhard bastard, he gets 100 days and 3 years probation. I hope someone runs him down on the sidewalk.
You missed the worst part: if he stays out of trouble at the end of the probation his record is scrubbed clean, no felony conviction.
They were talking about it on NPR. They do this in New York for non-violent first offense misdemeanors after a plea agreement, but never after the cost of trial, and never for a felony.
May there be a God to send this man and this judge to hell for eternity.

"...a roll of toilet paper and a can of dog food"?
I think that's far too generous. Maybe he'll be somebody's "bitch" in prison...

It appears that the degree of your crime can be diminished commensurate with the elevation of your standing in the hierarchy. This sends a stinky message but does also set the groundwork for some needed change.
Motorcyclists are deserving of the efforts caged motorists should make to "SEE" them, and if a cager kills a motorcyclist it will not be tolerated via the customary slap on the wrist. This political professional lost a LOT to say that to society, and the Man/Biker that he killed gave up a LOT so that this platform and precedent could be set.

First of all I hate comments that state "I hope he gets raped or killed in prison." As if that is justice, somehow ironic. It's barbaric and no one deserves either.
Second, I hate that justice is not color blind. The greenbacks color the sentencing of crimes.
I gotta' stop now...

The saddiest part of all is those thousands of folks who sit rotting away FOR YEARS in jail for just having a small amount of marijuana on their person and this AHole who MURDERS someone (this wasn't an accident...he KNOWINGLY drove in a reckless manner for many years...even BOASTING about it....) and gets 100 days....
Edwards certainly IS right...there ARE two Americas. One for the wealthy and politically connected...the other for the rest of us working slaves.

Fact- Jeb Bush's daughter was a bigger threat to American civilian's lives than Saddam EVER was...par for the course. NO DEATH PENALTY? So much for the ten commandments.
(Forgive me- any graven image is a statue of commandments, was that posted here previous? Nice irony!)

Good, Sims 2 creates new worlds of play
It didn't take long for Jeff to develop romantic feelings for his housemate, Sara. But his hopes for something more than friendship came to a sudden halt at one of their house parties -- it seems the handsome neighbor, Orlando, also had a crush on Sara.
