How to Paint'em

USA Today has a headline:

How the Bush team will try to paint Kerry

This is just rich.
Bush wants to label Kerry, a combat veteran who later opposed the war, a hypocrite.
I guess serving your country in combat automatically removes your First Amendment rights, or so the 1600 Crew would make everyone think. But then the 1600 Crew has never been real big on the First Amendment anyhow.

I have a suggestion. How about these colors: Silver, Bronze and Purple for Kerry and a big Yellow Stripe for the Cowardly Codpiece.

I guess we could call Bush a hypocrite too... He didn't want to fight when it could have been him on the front lines but he has no trouble now that he's safe in that big white house.

Bring it on! I don't think that dog will hunt; only backfire.

As evry Marine knows you have the office pogues and then you have the Marines. Bush cant hide the fact that he avoided going to Vietnam by joining the Guard. Thats a fact Jack

I hope so, Pintac. I'd hate to bet money on it. Frankly, because I figure that there's just too many vets who figure that, if it comes down to a Democratic Vietnam Vet vs a Republican TANG boy, they'll continue to vote for the Republican.

If it were otherwise, then the long list of GOP chickenhawks would be a *lot* shorter.

From the Tuesday, Feb 17th Northwest Florida Daily News obituary for Mrs. Jane Watt Dean, 74, of Tallahassee:

"In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the 2004 Democratic nominee for President of the United States."

There are a lot of folks all over who have had it with Dubya. Tallahassee is capitol of Florida, where "Jeb" lives.

For a lot of people it boils down to "is his word any good?" Remember his entire campaign was based on character.
