Truly an idiot

Just in case you needed a reminder of why the Simp Chimp is such a low-wattage bulb:

He said he supports amending the Constitution because "the voice of the people need to be heard, and the constitutional process was the best way to do such."
Next up, an amendment to restrict the use of alcohol. It'll work, I know it will.

I seem to remember that "the people" voiced the opinion that he shouldn't be President in 2000, but he took office anyway.

If you want to hear the voice of "the people", let them directly vote rather than going through Congress and the state legislatures.

I have only one thing to say about Bush's remarks:

Wow.

I can't complain about Prohibition, one of my great grandfathers made enough to raise 18 kids on a dairy farm thanks to certain skills he had acquired in Switzerland before coming to the US.

Beer, wine, and applejack were money crops.

Prohibition actually did work. For the rich. The Volstead Act only made the production, transport or sale of alcohol illegal. Once it was in your wine cellar you were home free, you could serve it openly with no problem. And I have heard (though could not document, nor care to, I am late for the bar) that the amount of on the job drunkeness and alcohol related absenteeism dropped significantly.

Not amongst the factory owners mind you. And I suspect Eliot Ness did not spend a lot of time smashing kegs out at the Country Club.

Actually, the best way for "the voice of the people to be heard" is at the ballotbox.

Be sure to vote early and always vote against a Fascist.

Doubt that the rigged Diebold and ESS voting computers will accurately reflect the true voice of the people? Demand an absentee ballot. That's probably one of the most effective ways to show them we don't trust them.

Now, imagine if 30% of the electorate started using absentee ballots, across the country. I think that would send a message.

Agreed Lurch. or just ring up about ten thousand votes for LaRouche in a republican district... I want to see some of the Kucinich peacenicks take their passion and put it to use. Kucinich win Florida by 98% vote, and Kerry gets a negative number... just to set this straight.

It really won't matter, we'll win anyways, and I want Cleland to get the Homeland Security job so he can put a telescope up Diebold's ass and avenge his loss in GA at their hands.

As for the sanctity of marriage, Newt and Neil's spend and snort adultery fest has already restored the sanctity of marriage DC-style, what more do we need?

And Michael Jackson-Lisa Marie kept marriage real for us all.

Maybe Mary Cheney will fix this crisis in over-the top fashion.

For every gay couple and the minister/preacher/justice they arrest, we'll let out a copkiller, a repeat drug/theft case, and rapist out to jail these threats to our way of life instead.

What about the Clenis? Can they enforce oral abstinence? Old testament law would kill da ho who did that...zero tolerance.

I think Bush should not be president and I do not trust Cheney and Rumsfeld. I don't know about Kerry, but I think i will vote against bush. These people give me a really bad feeling
