Margaret Carlson has an intelligent thought

Last night's Capital Gang...something I watch when I'm out of bad novels to read. Last night Margaret Carlson hit a homer with this little gem and left Kate O'Beirne babbling for several minutes...

CARLSON: And the firefighters, of course, are still upset about not getting the money that they feel they need to respond to the next 9/11, should there be one. Bush, on the other hand, has to run on 9/11 because it was his greatest moment as president. He doesn't want to run on the Iraq war, and he doesn't want to run on jobs. And so he has to hark back, and maybe he thinks he's getting out the worst reaction early.
Pretty damn good Margaret...you're somewhat redeemed. If Preznit No Jobs had a clue, he'd be more dangerous than he is...as it is, his brain, Rove is probably looking for a way to get Carlson off the air, since she spoke the truth to power, and Jeebus knows, we can't have that in America.

Just maybe Margaret has her moistened finger in the air and the current suggests that perhaps this Fall THE FALL OF BUSH II will happen. Let's see if one by one other pundits start to do the same thing. After all, they all want to position themselves on the side of the winner. Alas, if only the pundits had had principles in 2000: all of this bad stuff might not have happened.

Bush describes himself as the "War President". Well, there are wars and then there are wars. Is he trying to put himself in the role of a Lincon, Wilson or FDR? Reagan was a "War President". George's dad was a "War President". Clinton was a "War President". Yes, all wars are serious. But there are differences in "War Presidents". George is out of his skull if he thinks he has made his bones.

Yeah they sense it, but they are banking on Powell and the FCC to save their tail and keep their jobs intact.
The journalists are painting the lie to save face. This is goiung to be a landslide against him. And the press will act so surprised.
Enough journalists are getting the hint, once out of office their stories will come under more scrutiny, their advertisers will feel the pinch, and the shit train will derail.

Dying throes of the neocons and the press sympathizers...Margaret is in the early denial stages. She knows how loyal the Bush mullet crew is when it comes to payback(none) and is making inroads to a reader base.base
