Didja ever

get the feeling that the whole Mess in Mesopotamia would have been a non-starter if the Media had actually done their jobs? Thought so.

I'm still waiting for a clever songwriter to come up with the lyrics for "Who Put the Mess in Mesopotamia?", in the to-come musical about Bush Jr.'s adventures in Iraq. Meanwhile, back at the oasis, Chalabi was given a wedgie, finally, by Bush Jr.'s Administration.

You mean me, Shaq? I've been using "Who put the Shah in the Shah-de-Shah-de-Shah? Who installed the man who ran Iran?" for weeks as an illustration of misguided efforts at nation-building that inevitably fall down and leave us with a country that hates us because of our support for a dictator, which is what I foresee for Iraq unless there is a change from non-leadership to leadership (i.e., remove the Bush in 2004).
