Here's what you can expect

If you're just some African country with no resources and a bad attitude: a visit from Fat Mikey's daddy, Colin and this frightening action...

The Bush administration has begun circulating the text of a U.N. resolution that would sharply criticize the Sudanese government. Powell met with U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan -- who will tour Darfur Thursday -- as his plane refueled for a flight to a regional security conference in Jakarta.
Wow. 15 minutes in a refugee camp, and a missive circulating in Foggy Bottom. Bet the powers that be in Sudan are all a-twitter over that.

Dick Cheney said 'Fuck'. That's News.

The Sudan is the great humanitarian crisis of the decade. I am waiting to see if the Powell visit is just a photo op to make the administration look like it isn't all about waging wars or a real reaching out and the beginning of real aid. I have low expectations as to which it is. While I think Powell has a genuine desire to have some positive affect on Africa, I expect he is just being used to make the admin look good, as usual. Does Powell have any self-respect left? Because I gave up respecting him some time ago.

Sudan is where arab expansionism is occurring. The bombing there was valid. They are doing genocide on non-arab africans using the tribal warfare model. The same way Custer hired other tribal scouts.

Guys who know the land and are brutal and have lonstanding feuds are wiping out whole villages.

Seems like the world will not do a thing until maybe they reach some white people... the relief agency worker who reported on it had to arm her personal mercs with heavy ords to regulate on the news program she was on ...

Powell lets Bush steal votes in FLA, tries to save face to heritage abroad. A regular heritage Foundation humanitarian he is.

Did he see any boobies there to fine? Not the woot variety... Wes Clark wanted to do something there but blow jobs were the story. We could have kicked bin laden's ass sideways when he was out of his element and Wes damned well knew it.

Those plans were blowing in the wind with Gingrich hijacking the House, tumbling and blowing away like those numerous business papers from the WTC in smoke and dust on the f9/11 screen and people seeing the symbolic death of moderation along with it.

People don't know how long this stuff was in the making and how hard some people fought behind the scenes to stop it only to be shut up by pollwatching out of touch ruling class bourgeoissie on both aisle sides...

Ah, no resources? There was a big oil find under the Sudan. Why do you think Colon went there in the first place? IIf Bush is reelected, you'll see KBR trucks rolling through there in a couple years.
