Jackass, yeah.

Der Duchess has taken to comparing the movie "Jackass" to "Farenheit 9/11", since in his deluded mind they are both documentaries. In one, he delights in the "hot young straight dudes shoving toy cars" up their asses. In the other he's disgusted because Michael Moore shows America getting it up theirs. In one, he delights in the light-hearted comedy of stupidity that grossed $64 million dollars, in the other he solicits his readers to go out and commit a felony

...why doesn't some enterprising blogger take a tape recorder to a screening...
so the "fiskathon" can begin (thanks to Glen at A Brooklyn Bridge for that one). Presumably, someone else will do the fisking, since he's still doing his "he loves me, he loves me not" routine with Fearless Leader's picture.

Comments:

We'll have to make sure that the MPAA is tipped off if any of the assholes actually tape the movie. Jack Valenti loves pirates, so much so that there's a $500 bounty on them to theater workers.

Man, where's everybody at?

Jo, sometimes I got to thank you for the good work you do. Hopefully you don't take the comment thread sizes as a statement on the quality of your posts.

Keep up the good work!

Forgot to say that you're a daily read for me. I just don't post much in the comments on any blog, mainly because I'm sick of arguing with lying rightwind fucktards.

I saw a comment on a discussion board (not a political blog) that the Lion's Gate had been possibly hacked to host a poor video copy of F911. Never could find where that would be, either because it was taken down or from my not using an "IE bug compatible" browser.

So I'd be very suprised if there isn't already a "recording" floating around out there.

So Sully, tell us again how you respect private property rights?

Well that cuts it. I will never use one of Sully's quotes with attribution again.

Oh wait, I never cite him for anything authoritative anyway.

No diff.

It's hardly surprising that Sullivan has seen "Jackass;" the homoerotic undertones held him spellbound, no doubt. If he's not careful, Drudge is going to dump him.

Anyone hear the rumor that Sullivan is actually going to endorse Kerry in the Advocate magazine?

Yeah someone said that in a sports forum thread I was arguing at... here or elsewhere. They have already erased the post which was using the same argument.

I guess they heard the "jackass was a documentary" line and used it, only to return and edit it when word got out Sully said it.

The guy is a punch clown - everything he says is a catch-22, if he gets it wrong they can always go to the "dumb fag" meme and blame and if he gets it right they say even a "dumb fag" can come up with that argument.

Sully is the Crying game played out 24/7...

Welcome to the boards ras!

The previous post- not to say that persuasion/demographic is "dumb" but certain demographic segments always assume so.

Despite the fact Sully, Hannity, Rush, Drudge try their best to lead by bad example...

Bashcroft wasa focused on downloads of porn instead of terra... now they can witchhunt Moore supporters with this movie piracy.

I yelled at the Metallica movie preview "I can't wait to donwload that!" because Lars sued Napster. The ticket guy must have thought I was doing so, gave a staredown for cams.

Sully is english? Can he vote here? Why would his endorsement mean jack? Only in sully's parallel universe... waaay past the 38th...

That was the stupidest F911 comparison to another movie yet. It's worse than Bill Hobbs calling the Passion of the Christ a "real" documentary that protrays "truth".
