Retreaded Rhetoric?

Does anyone out there seem to remember hearing something like this before?

President Bush said Monday the United States is trying to determine whether Iran was involved in the Sept. 11 plot and accused Tehran of harboring al-Qaida leaders.
...
Bush said the United States will continue to look into whether Iran was involved. “As to direct connections with Sept. 11, we’re digging into the facts to determine if there was one.”

Iran, branded like Iraq by Bush as part of an “axis of evil” that threatens to fuel global terrorism, was “harboring al-Qaida leadership there,” the president said. He urged Tehran to have them “turned over to their respective countries” of origin.

If I were a soldier who had been home for more than a few months, I'd be getting out my English-Farsi dictionary and learning how to say "Freeze MotherCheney'ers"...how many wagging dog-tails will it take to satisfy this bloodthirsty bastard and his band of idiots? Obviously at least one more before November. Gee, is he going to blow up a radio station on the Iraqi border? How Original.

Careful. If they're calling up 68 year-old colonel/pyschiatrists after retiring 7 years ago, you (and me) could be next.

Once they send all the typists to the front line, they'll need more typists. Just by owning a blog we we prove that we have an essential skill.

Of course if that silly election thingy doesn't inconvenience King George too much, all of us mouthy subversives are doomed.

Could you loan me that Farsi dictionary after you're done?

Witness a liberation moment in Fallujah.

Could it be that Bush Jr. suffers from dyslexia or something similar in his reading of intelligence briefings, mistaking "Iraq" for "Iran"? I can see making that mistake in a crossword puzzle but not when it comes to invading a sovereign nation. Besides, where were his advisors who usually read to him.

Now we know why the Bush Junta was so willing to use diplomacy on Iran last year (while planning to use bombs on Iraq) when the nuclear power plant project was discovered: The Bushites wanted a quagmire hat-trick and were hoping that Iran would develop into a real threat that could be used to get Little King George elected.

Notice I said "elected," not re-elected; we all know who won in 2000. And we all know who's going to lose if Bush spends another four years in the White House: America.

Since the hijackers trained at Florida flight schools, does that mean Jeb was harboring terrorists?

Merl,

Your point is regime change is needed in Florida? That might be an easier task than Iran. Like Jo, I think this is all the same story we heard before the invasion of Iraq began. Farsi for everyone as we will need it.

Bait and switch. They have made Wilson's testimony into the straw man.

However Iran had a major earthquake near its facility...

could it have been a pre-emption?

Pakistan is the one to worry about. They are killing their own farmers searching for osama. The chance of a civl war there is very good.
