And what a week it looks like I've missed...no less than a bunch of ...interesting... people trying to discredit John Kerry's Naval Service in order to enhance Preznit Can't Show Up's abortive career in the TANG.
The July Surprize Al-Qaida guy who mysteriously got caught in Pakistan around the time of the DNC...hmmm glad those super-slueths are on the case.
There was even a CNN Newsticker on the few minutes of TV I actually saw that talked about the FBI revisiting the Anthrax scare.
Man, what Presidential Focus Groups (they don't do polls, remember) will bring out in a slow summer.

A Navy question, Jo. In the Air Force, Academy grads are required to serve at least 6 years [it may be 8 - 2 for 1 service for training], but this John O'Neill of the Swifties only did 4 years, then flakked for the White House before going to law school after graduating from Annapolis.
Academy grads bailing out is weird.

“Mr. Kerry does have a sticky situation on his hands with his assertion that he was in Cambodia. His campaign, at this time, has not reconciled his previous statements in the Congressional record or his letter to the Editor of the Boston Herald, stating that he was in Cambodia, Christmas Eve, 1968. His campaign said this week that he never asserted that.
I personally would have preferred that neither candidate make their service an issue, I don't particularly believe that either one served their country well during the Vietnam War (and immediately thereafter). But Senator Kerry has made his record an issue, and he still doesn't have an answer.”

The July surprise will be regurged by Wolfe Blitzer like it's brand new info.
The same thing happened once the green zone went haywire (since a portion of it overlaps Sadr city). Reporters got too scared to go outside. Stay in hotel, drink a lot, recycle stories proven to lack cahones from previous sweeps cycle rotations.
Call home tell people everything's going fine in Iraq, get paid well to do it. More than our soldiers can honestly say right , on 2 counts no less.
Two counts, sorry, Bush may duck hearing that. DUI and AWOL implications aside...
Cheney is still eligible for impeachment offense over the bribery in France. Plame warrants have Tim Russert sweating. Big Puss is staying the course so far...
