Brainless in DC

Something we've all known all along...that Preznit Borrowed Fortitude was about as big of an idiot as could be hoped for from the Central New England Inbreeding and Substance Abuse Training Academy...

"I don't think you can win it," Mr. Bush replied. "But I think you can create conditions so that those who use terror as a tool are less acceptable in parts of the world."

As recently as July 14, Mr. Bush had drawn a far sunnier picture. "I have a clear vision and a strategy to win the war on terror," he said.

Osama bin Who again? This is absolute proof that Garry Trudeau's representation of this fool is true: an almost-deserted cowboy hat with a tape recorder in it, repeating whatever the last thing said to him was.

Comments:

Once again the White House had to explain what Bush Jr., a Yale and Harvard trained Mama's boy, really meant about not winning the war on terror. What he meant was there would be no surrender, no armistice, no peace treaty, as with a conventional war. Why, this war on terror may last longer than the 100 years war. Let's get rid of term limits so that Bush Jr. can continue to lead us in this unwinnable war.

Everyone knew he was a waste, that is why his bro jeb had to fix the electionin 2000.
This piece of shit known as the pResident,
has failed at every thing he has tried. Why should it be any different now. As for iraq,
well, another failure. And the skag he is married to. Did she have that smile stitched
on. Her face never change's. I can't stand any of them, and as mcCain has showed his true side. Just another repug, who does'nt care who he step's on.

Tim--

Do the words "legacy", and "Dad is the Republican National Committee chairman, UN Ambassador and CIA Director" mean anything...?

I respectfully disagree on the "War on Terruh is unwinnable" thing. I think it (bizarrely) reflects some hidden intelligence down there. Calling it a "War on Terruh" was a bad idea from the get-go; it implies that it can be "won", and it cannot; for Bush himself to acknowledge this is... actually a step forward. It's too bad the knee-jerk sound-bite was so freaking important, and we go back to the rhetorical dueling crap.

Not to worry: Bush immediately flip flopped on it, and told Tennessee vets we CAN win it, after all! As usual, please disregard all evidence to the contrary of the message that Karl is putting out there today.

Well, a "war on terror" is pretty stupid. A war on an emotional state? Sounds pretty touch-feely to me. But then, little Shrubbie is a *sensitive* guy.

Or maybe it's a "War on terrorISM". In other words, a war on a technique of conflict. While we're at it, why don't we declare war on some bonehead management techniques as well? Lots of people are terrorized by those.
And we'll win that war when....uhm, when? When nobody knows what terrorism is, or how it's done? How about when nobody knows what Total Quality Management is? That sounds like a worthwhile goal.

Or is it a "War on terrorISTS"? That starts to make sense. Too bad that Shrub's approach is rather like using gasoline to put out fires.

luvvs you are on fire bro. Burn those QC types down for us!

Well they add value to a company...unlike the workers who make the product and bust their tails for production to see their benefits sold off.

Guys from my former job are selling 401ks off left and right to cover their tails short term. Spenidng away all the money of the privatised retirement of 401k that Clenis enabled to help bolster markets and ease the burden on social security.

Of course that money coming out of markets makes for worse economy long term as well.

Then again Bush isn't concerned about long term- he knows he'll lose so he's robbing the last cent available.

Surplus?
