Vs.

Let's see, John Kerry goes to Vietnam, is wounded and is awarded the nations third highest award fo valor, comes home and tells the truth about the Vietnam War and is branded by the American Fascists who will do or say anything to subvert the very constitution of our country to stay in power (and 5 to 4 says I'm right) a traitor for telling the TRUTH.

Preznit Oathbreaker contemplates shooting his eardrum out, but opts to have Poppy buy him into the National Guard, then runs away from that with the help of some well-placed friends, in the process he disobeys a direct, written order from his commanding officer to get a physical, whether he wants to or not. After said disobedience, he just up and leaves, letting his squadron-mates pull the load for his no-load ass, something they were all probably pretty accustomed to doing anyhow. Then he starts to LIE and LIE and LIE and LIE about his mas macho years as a fighter pilot in the TANG. When confronted he lies somemore. Then he sends men and women of the US Military (including the National Guard) over to Iraq based on another LIE and continues to LIE about why and how poorly planned it was even as he struts around like somekind of junior fascisti-wannabe.

The difference: Truthteller vs. LIAR. Man of Integrity vs. a Man who can't spell integrity. A man who loves his country and can't do enough for it vs. a worm who hates his country because it can't do enough for him. A Man vs. a petulant man-child.

What will we tell the children?

Comments:

The deep shame of this is that Bush Jr.'s father, mother, wife, brothers, cabinet members, Republicans, etc, have supported and accommodated the efforts to hide the truth on George W going way, way back. In fact, George W claims the support of God and Jesus. But does he have a soul, a conscience? Do his supporters any longer? This is a man who would rather be President than be right.

I'm telling my kids I'll live as an exile if the Kool-Aid drinkers get Eddie Haskell elected. Seen any good countries out there lately?

The pattern of lies over many years is an indication of his current behavior. It speaks directly to his "misrepresentations" and "miscalculations" in the entire Iraq business. That is the real story and, in my opinion, the track that Kerry should take in his attack on Bush.

As far as the Killian memos ... many of us know that there is no limit to the depth that the Administration and its supporters will sink to in order to discredit those who come forward with legitimate facts and sound evidence. As far as the election ... the electorate that supports Bush will overlook anything to put him in office. That is the condition and unsavory environment that we are currently dealing with.

W = Wrong: wrong to misrepresent his National Guard service; wrong to lie about the reasons for the Iraq war; wrong to misrepresent the facts about the economy; wrong to lie about Kerry's military record and his lifetime of public service to this nation.

in this rapidly sinking nation full of overweight ding-a-lings, nobody should be surprised that preznit coke-head is successful with scumbag tactics. he will win this election. maybe this needs to happen. can you imagine the horrible state we'll be in after four more years of this nonsense? after hitting rock bottom, there'll be nowhere to go but up. besides, it may be more enjoyable to watch meaningful impeachment hearings.

Part of me agrees with that. If nothing else, four more years of W would discredit conservatism for a generation.

"What will we tell the children?"

I already have told mine, they are Tahitian and thereby French Nationals.. I have seen this coming for years. I saw it when Reagan was elected.. I could see the start of this shift to the right and after immigrating to Tahiti, I decided to become a permanent citizen of the island I and my family live on.. To me this has been the best move in my lifetime...

I am ashamed of what the country of my birth has become. I look around me, and see a division in the people that will take generations to heal. I see rights being taken away and benefits that I earned eroded to the point of having little or no value. I get better medical care for less money on Raiatea than I get from the VA in the US.. I am USN Retired, and find the only way I can get into the VA is by going to emergency and waiting all day to see a med tech and never seeing a doctor... No thanks... I will stick with a government that is controlled by its population...

You folks are pathetic ! The name calling is so childish.

But I do have a suggestion as for what to tell the children - nothing - I have faith most of them will grow-up, unlike most here, and be able to disern the truth.

To call Bush a liar is to call Kerry a liar as well he voted to go to war. Regardless of the fact he later changed his mind and then also abandoned them after sending them off to fight by voting against $87Billion to support them.

If JFK earned those medals then why wont he stand up to the SwiftVets and dispute with facts, I'm guessing its hard to do when those facts don't exists. Because I believe any man of honor would stand up for himself under these circumstances, not try to get other people to fight his battles for him.

The American people are not as easily mislead as the liberal MSM would like them to be. MoveOn.org and all those millions cant hold a candle to nor even come close to being a match for the truth.
Now THAT is truely AMERICAN !!

Dan's pretty good at discerning truth isn't he? I guess that's how wingnuts educate their children. They tell them nothing and let them be wallow in the media mire waiting for a dimwit to lead them. Quite insightful Dan.

Kevin said he would live in exile if Bush was elected? Gee, it's strange to hear that. I thought I was the only one in America who thought that. Me and the lady I met in the grocery store today. I've studied German and Nazi history alot. I'm beginning to realize how about half the Germans felt when Hitler first came to power.

Dan,

Crawl out from under that rock, Kerry has responded to the Swift Boar Liars quite vigorously and to compare him to Bush...sheesh, get out and get some air! Some nerve you have with your fantasies!

As for what to tell my kids, well, they are draft age young men, and I have told them to do what their concience tells them regarding any pending draft...they have indicated a desire not to participate in any illegal, immoral warmaking...they are grown men and their decisions are their own.

And for me, if Preznit Asshat gets another term, I am eligible for an Irish passport (father was an Irish citizen) and I may very well get that passport and then apply for citizenship eventually...and retire there. After all, the loony right wingers keep telling me to leave so I may as well. Screw it, let them destroy the place if they want to.

If your hanging your future on the likes of Kerry I'ld say there aint no time like the present to start packing your bags, but I think your just a bunch of talk same as Alec Baldwin, he's a sore loser at best. And ya aint gona be missed either. I defy anyone to tell of a better country on God's green earth to live, be sure to quote the imigration numbers cause its not going to be believable unless everybody in the world is trying to get there.

Sounds like someone taught the youngin's to run away instead of standing to defend what's rightfully thiers. Nothing illegal about protecting your home and your family, not only is it the right thing to do but its the honorable thing to do as a matter of fact. Makes one wonder how some peoples kids feel knowing there isn't anyone who loves them enough to stick by thier side and protect them against evil. Maybe like some of those folks who live under the rule of tyrants and dictators, or like the Iranians when Carter turned his back on them. All it takes for evil to provail is for good men to do nothing.

Just so you have it straight, I didn't say I wouldn't tell my kids anything. I suggested that those who think Kerry is an honorable man say nothing and in doing so would be doing themselves a favor as well since the facts don't support otherwise, rather than mislead them and diminish one own credability such as Kerry himself has done.(see recent poll numbers)

Man I must have been under a rock cause I haven't ever seen anything Kerry put forth as fact or proof otherwise, please post a link! Anybody can say "its a lie", but the facts speak for themselves.

AMERICA !! you gotta LOVE this place !! If you don't, oh well, your aren't gonna be missed cause there are lots of good folks around. And it will sure help if you quit hanging around a bunch of sore losers and learn to count your blessings instead of your troubles.

Warning Signals and Criminal Negligence: A Traitor in the Whitehouse.

The CIA's briefing for Bush wasn't the only warning coming from intelligence agencies about the possible attack by hijacked planes on targets like the Pentagon and World Trade Center. Both German and Russian intelligence agencies picked up signals during the summer of 2001 about bin Laden plans. The FBI in its investigation of Zacarias Moussaoui's activities documented his desire to fly a plane into the World Trade Center. When those FBI agents requested a warrant to search Moussaoui's personal computer, the civil liberties-minded Attorney General, John Ashcroft, turned them down. On the other hand, Ashcroft was worried enough about the hijacking of commercial airplanes that starting on July 26, 2001 he stopped flying on commercial aircraft. Of course, neither Aschroft nor anyone else in the Bush Administration bothered to warn airport authorities to be on heightened alert and to tighten airport security in the face of such warning signals.

To suggest that the Bush Administration arranged the 9/11 tragedy is to resort to wildly speculative conspiracy theories. On the other hand, there is a substantive and documented record of neglect and obstruction to warrant a charge of criminal negligence by Bush and his national security state apparatus. It may be that part of that apparatus, especially elements within the FBI, are angered by how they and their reports were cavalierly treated by the White House. They and other congressional sources may be leaking the kind of information that was essential in bringing down President Nixon. Instead of waiting, however, for what appears as inevitable congressional investigations, we should be doing everything in our power to raise questions in public forums and the courts, if possible, about the criminal negligence of the Bush Administration. Before another pretext is created for another war for oil and the advancement of the military-industrial complex, this Administration needs to be confronted for the duplicitous and corrupt self-serving elite they are.

Ironic isnt' it? How on this day of rememberance after three years some people refuse to lay the blame for 9/11/01 where it absolutely undisputablely belongs, TERRORIST commited these yellow bellied, cowardly acts. How can such an obviouse fact be ignored. Not a single source has proven beyond a doubt that anyone besides cowardly fanatics had knowledge beforehand.

There is not a thread of evidence in the way of cold hard facts to support any allegation of negligance by the current Administration.

Please consider whether or not any of the following is neglect:

Millions die in Cambodia after protesters prompt U.S. withdrawl from Vietnam.

Millions die in the Iran-Iraq war after the Carter Administration fails to support a nation in turmoil upon the fall of the Shah in which the US has a hand.

Failure to confront Qaddafi after the siege of the American embassy in Tripoli in 1979.

Failure to take action after the WTC bombing in 1993.

UN failure to enforce after 12 years and 17 resolutions.

This list can go on and on and on. The blame game is so counter productive, it accomplishes nothing. Look to the future and learn from the past so that we are not doomed to having any of it repeated. Look at the history and there you will find the charactor of the candidates who would be a big part of that future. Judge for yourself but don't fool yourself in the process by ingnoring the facts.

God Bless America and honor her fallen.

Very intelligent post. Now that's not a word you can use about Bush (intelligent) Among all the other things like lying, exploiting 9/11, getting out of his guard duty, and just being a rich spoiled kid, he is just too stupid to be President. If it weren't for Karl Rove he wouldn't know what to say or not to say. You can tell by the mistakes he makes when he is unscripted. Everyone register to vote. We CAN get this dummy out of office !!!!

Kitty Kelly hasn't ever written anything worth reading, Larry King wouldn't even touch that heap of crap. Newsweek took an advanced copy and then wouldn't even print any excerpts. She should take it to 60 minutes on CBS, its thier speed these days. Notice how it comes back to the facts, or lack of in this case.

Is it just me that has a hard time taking seriously someone who uses a screen name like "Cloned ".

You can put Al Franken right up there with Kitty Kelly, this is the same guy who wrote to Ashcroft last June, falsely claiming to have testimonials from Condoleezza Rice, Tommy Thompson and William J. Bennett, and others in an attempt to get personal information. He did this on letterhead from Harvard University's Shorenstein Center for Press and Politics at the Kennedy School of Government, WITHOUT permission.

In his book Al uses Sandy Berger as a source, you know the guy who is charged with theft of documents from the National Archive. Al also sighted Dick Clarke who gave two different and opposing testimonies completey undermining his own credibility.

Again we're back to the loosers and the lack of the facts.

And what is really laughable is Al wrote the following:

"Clinton-hating was to the Bush White House what terrorism-fighting was to the Clinton White House."

I'ld say Clintons and terrorist both got off pretty damn easy !!

I thought you might like this:

“George W. Bush twice required multiple attempts to land a one-seat fighter just before he quit flying for the Texas Air National Guard in 1972, his pilot logs show. He began flying a two-seat training jet more frequently in the period, according to the logs. The logs show that Bush flew nine times in T-33 trainers in February and March 1972, including eight times in one week, and four of those only as a co-pilot. Bush, then a first lieutenant, flew in T-33s only twice in the previous six months and three times in the year ending July 31, 1971.”
