huh?

From the Post editorial page.

Yet it is also possible to imagine elections so flawed that they would not have the hoped-for effect of sapping legitimacy from an insurgency that appears to be gaining ground.
Are they talking about Iraq or Ohio?

It's gotta be Ohio.

H. R. 2239 won't fix everything, but it's a start.

Jimmy Carter says he couldn't certify the Florida part of our elections because they are too fixed.

Also, I think the recent spate of polls showing a Bush lead, which contradict all polling done before the past week or so, especially Gallup, are intended to prepare us for the Big Cheat. The talk had been that if the voting results were markedly different from the poll results, we'd know they cheated. I expect the voting results in fixed states to precisely correlate with the pol results from Gallup. Furthermore, they aren't going to fix every state because they can't. They will fix specific battleground states, and if I had the time and inclination, I could probably tell you exactly which ones those would be. Florida, definitely. Ohio probably and Missouri probably. Check out Donkey Rising on how Gallup got it so wrong. But Gallup has been getting a lot of news play because of their numbers favoring Bush. It is part of the setup.

The fix is in in Ohio, I believe.

I am so furious that I argue with people wearing Bush buttons. I tell them they're being "Good Germans." I'm a very pacific person, usually. Not now.
