The Great Debate...

Kerry Won, The Zero Zero.

I'm sorry, but "tearing up and praying" with a widow is hardly the basis for any rational policy decisions, like going to war or reinforcing a proven bad idea. And isn't it amazing that Preznit Open Arms only seems to drag those poor folks out to make campaign points.

It was most amazing that Preznit Incoherent continually asked for more time and then said...nothing.

Points to Kerry for bringing up Osama and Tora Bora. Even Tommy Franks could not effectively spin that away after the debate. Good points for drilling Fearless Leader with the facts on the "coalition" of the shilling and new-Q-lar proliferation. Bunnypants looked like he was going to cry until he managed to figure out that there might just be a terrorist angle to the Nukes thing.

I notice that in Preznit Relentless Liars talking points on bringing freedom to the world he failed to mention freedom in such insignificant places like ... Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Uzbekistan, whose dictators would be most unhappy with the bad press...also Pootie-Poot, is well, turning into the dictator that Cap'n Cokespoon wants to be...good old Vlad.

An interesting note:

Outside the University of Miami campus, where the debate was held, hundreds of protesters gathered. Some carried flag-draped coffins and signs that read: "What's to debate. Bush lied, fire him."

About a dozen students and staff rallied in support of President Bush. Many waved pro-Bush signs including a bed sheet painted with the message "Cubans for Bush."

Watching the post-debate spin, I have to wonder who'll be the first to get their blow-job in the Lewinsky Corner? Wolfie or Tweetie? ...My hairy thunderer, those two can hardly seem to find fault fast enough. And why doesn't Andrea Mitchell just come prepared with a matress and a spit-cup? Compared to her, Joe Scarborough almost sounded .... fair and balanced.

Kerry looked Presidential, Bush proved his Smirk Potential!

I think that the widow did the tearing up and praying, w did the laughing.

Was I hearing things or did he slip and refer to himself as the leader of the world?

He did say "You can't expect to lead the world if..." A little full of himself, I think. The world is not following him. He has a few countries that went along with his s***-for-brains Iraq fiasco, and those leaders are paying a heavy price for their stupidity. I'll bet Blair had a picture of Bush painted on the bottom of the bowl in his loo at number 10.

It really does not matter if John Kerry went out on stage and beat the President with a bat because no matter what he says now it is just another fine tuning of his previous hedges. He is like a gambler who just likes to make sure he wins. He bets both sides just in case what he said the first time goes awry. He must think voters have political Alzheimer’s disease.

mattress and spit cup - would that be for the schnozz, or something else? (God forbid.)

Karl knows he got his brains beat out last night, and in a way he can't fix: everybody saw Dear Leader in all his petulant glory.

John Kerry closed the deal he had to close -- he showed all those (unpolled) voters who know that Bush has made a hash of everything but weren't sure if Kerry could handle the job -- that he'll do just fine.

Since no amount of spin can erase Bush's display of what kind of a person he actually is, bank on October being one of the bloodiest months ever in a Presidential campaign.

Red Alert time? Orange you gonna raise the stakes Bashcroft? Ridge not around after misappropriating fakeriot act DOHS funding?

Nothing can undo the failures of Bush. Still this final unraveling of the unw.avering fratboy is going to show the world that Americans do not approve of him either.

"Put a leash on your daughters"- Lynndie Bush would. Maybe she'll name her bastard baby George.

More of a question than a comment for anyone who may be able to help. I was drafted into the Army in '68. Did Basic, AIT, and was sent to Korea. While there I was asked to extend my tour by one month and get an early out by having the last 5 months of active duty dropped(actually its an early transfer to the USAR). I was told that the benefits would be the same as if I had completed my 2 yr. enlistment. My DD214 has the SPN 411(Overseas returnee) referred to in another post on this site. Ma. teacher retirement will allow me to buy back active duty time as indicated on my DD214 which is 19 mos. I believe that I should be entitled to the 'other' 5 mos. also. I have a DA137 from Korea which shows my one mo. extension and Special Orders #101 extract that shows ETS as Nov. 6, '70 which includes the full 2 yrs. I also have Special Orders 161 from POS Ft. Lewis which shows the # of yrs. at pay grade E-4 as 2yrs. I'm currently appealing their decision. I'm looking for Army Regs, U.S. Code, etc. from that era which will back up my claim. I have found modern-day code which allows up to 3 mos. early out with no loss of benefit from the full term of active service.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
