On my frig I have a postcard from a friend that reads, “I want my country back!” Let’s hope we get our wish next Tuesday.

When my husband was a child one of his neighbors had a problem with their Christmas lights. Each night someone would steal a few. My husband’s neighbor wired the lights so anyone touching them would get a small shock. After which they’d hear, “Ouch!” and then notice the sound of feet running away. Their lights were never again stolen. I like to imagine our Kerry signs wired up like that giving the fascists an unpleasant surprise when they attempt their dirty deed.

I would love to be on a draft board and able to ask one question. What political party do your parents belong to?

Should have done what I did - sign goes inside the front window. I contemplated concertina wire, and claymores around it outside, but theres alot of kids running around.

Now trip flares would be fun....

MY Vets for kerry sign has been trashed 5 times now. Luckily i had the forsight to grab a bunch. I'm on the last one and have pulled it back farther from the road.
My missus took my shotgun away from me!
Another note: A woman I know told me her son who is a military recruiter is not meeting quota. " Mom, my hearts just not into it so I'm asking for a transfer" This from a all military family.

Yeah, we have a whole lot of that going on here, too (Augusta, GA). I walk to work in the morning and see a lot of Bush/Cheney signs out; I am sorely tempted to rip them up too, but I still have a shred of conscience that tells me not to. Not to be one of THEM. Not to abandon hope for my political system. Not to stoop so low that I am essentially the same as the Fascist Peckerwoods for Bush.

Hmm. The MBF ran over my Veteran for Kerry" sign (and my Blanche Lincoln for Senate sign also), and we're so short here I couldn't get another. Got the bumper stickers on my car and van, though. I've gotten flack for the bumper stickers (grin), but something about the booming voice and large size tends towards running the chickenhawks away.

There's hardly *any* presidential signs on lawns up here in NH, (they're mostly all for local races.) But the ones there are, it's Kerry by 2-1 that I've been seeing on my morning walks. And one of the Bush ones is on a local small defense contractor - obviously they know what side their bread is buttered on...

Bumper stickers, a lot more of. Probably 3-1 Kerry, plus old Dean ones and older Nader ones, outstripping Bush.

Missus refuses me my shotgun(with riot barrel) and supporting nieghbor grabs my arm to keep me out of trouble while whispering in my ear "4 more days" "4 more days ".My suspicion nieghbors know but won't tell me who. Saddam's Deadly Drone of Death* was made from scrap metal and plastic, just like the ones you or I can buy at the hobby shop: and held together with good old-fashioned duct tape!

*of course, he only had the one; just an indication of how deadly a WMD it was: only one would be needed!

Actually those saddam drones were probably ours. The Osama recon spy drones were recalled just before 9-11 by Bushco.
