No Surrender

Guess where I was tonight? Good guess...I saw The Boss and The New Boss...it was an awesome rally, I got lucky and got a ticket that got me and my camera right up in front...so I thought I'd share a few photos with you.

I have to tell you, it was an emotional experience, being that close to the guy we all hope will help us take back our country. I had tears rolling down my cheeks more than once as John Kerry spoke tonight.

Enjoy the photos. If you'd like one, let me know.

Wow Jo! Were you on the stage or close risers?

Hope you got meet President Kerry! Officer talk is something only a priviliged few have earned and upheld, and he certainly is getting better each appearance, gaining confidence in assuming the mantle of leadership and expectation.

O Captain! My Captain!

Bruce is trying to regain those roots. Being a Papa has really made him soul search again. Looks like he knows there's more at stake these days.

This fan thinks he is perhaps even comparing himself to DYlan in some ways, some guy who didn't maybe the Hollywood look and voice but just kept it real and has come to represent the hopes of a generation.

Blue Collar Bruce!

Mr. Glenn looks ready for Rushmore in the pic. If ever a face deserved it- he was part of the new frontiere and has the ethics that stand a time test as well.

If any a man ever did deserve such from the modern era. Someone who helped lead the world's hopes, could pass the test of 'old timers', and bridged the modern era to the spirit of leadership those founders and forebears of past personified forever in stone.

Kerry On!

Could my envy of you being there with Kerry be surpassed. Yes, by my envy of you being there with a living legend. Glenn still rocks.

Beautifical, Jo!

I was at the Kerry rally in Philly earlier this week standing among the vets - had BROOOOOCE and Big Dog both been there, it would have been a crowd of 250,000, not a paltry 125,000.

;-)

Nice photos...I'm going to route folks your way.

(1) I had no idea Ed Harris was that old.

(2) What did Bruce play?

Rock on! I could hear that concert from where I was, but I didn't attend.

P.S. Bush and Governor Gang Bang are going to be at Nationwide Arena this afternoon -- forcing them to postpone the George Clinton/P-Funk concert across the street at PromoWest.

Bush may administer his own loyalty oaths, but for me, it's one nation under a groove.

i wonder if unka karl and his band of roving thieves were as impressed by this event as you were? i seriously doubt the frito-eaters in the swing-states are paying much attention. this country is going to get exactly what it deserves, another election decided by the ridiculous state of florida and its wind-blown, moronic electorate.

Oh! Yeah! Now there is a "Presidential" profile if ever I saw one. How appropriate that JFK is amongst our "Band of Brothers".

Hell Yeah! The BOSS and the New Boss! I only wish I didn't have to work so many long hours just to make a living (unlike Dickhead and Littleshit). Maybe that's the Repugnants plan... having work to ends meet, or we robbing us blind so we can't afford the bus ride. Either way, we can't get to attend these rallies in support of our hero. Naturally, the Dubya Klan gets flown in on AF-1.

SHOW NO QUARTER, JOHN!

As a NJ lad, I have many fond memories of The Boss. Have to stop looking at these pictures of Bruce. They're making me lose focus as I get caught in waves of nostalgia, and memories of a girl...

Nice pics, Jo! I thought that last one looked like John Glenn. Glad to see I was right. I saw John Edwards when I drove to Lima, OH. He really fired up the crowd there!

Great pic's Jo.

It's nice to know that President Kerry is spending part of his final day as a candidate here in Michigan (wish I could attend), but Detroit being that what it is - well... LOL (and 2 hours in physical therapy on Monday)

Senator, Astronaut, Great American and more importantly (to me at least) Marine - John Glenn. He helped protect my Dad and Uncle (both Marines) in Korea.

If only Marines like Senator John Warner had 1/10th of the integrity that he has. Too bad Warner believes in party above country. For that, he can eat the peanuts out of my shit.

McCain should have been nominated to run for POTUS but a B-list actor and a slimy Renegade CIA outfit turned into the A-team and played Rambo all over the globe. We reaped what they have sown, still they profit.

They don't make 'em like that anymore.

Actually they do. They are in Iraq and Afghanistan right now answering the call.

The only good thing about these last few years is that there are some great leaders who will make it back to become part of our political landscape.

New John Kerrys, new Wes Clarks, new John Glenns, new Tony McPeaks.
