And that's the tag that needs to get stuck in Alberto “Ghraib” Gonzales TODAY! Preznit NumbSkull'n'Boner:
Mr. Bush said he was confident that Mr. Gonzales would be "a steward of civil rights" as head of the Justice Department. He praised Mr. Ashcroft as "a superb public servant" and said Mr. Gonzales, whom he called a personal friend, would be a worthy successor.
Is this a set up to get Giuliani nominated without a confirmation fight? After Rudy went on TV and blamed the troops for the Al-QaQaa debacle, it's a lead-pipe cinch he's not gonna get elected to anything except maybe president of the Federalist Society...
Gonzales is responsible for hiding so many 1600 Crew secrets he's got a second career as a grave-digger one day. He's the one who started out his reign of error by penning the Executive Order banning the release of documents that were releaseable by law, to prevent all the dirt from Bush I and hence Iran-Contra, dealings with Iraq pre-Gulf War I, any and all Crashcart dirt...the list goes on. It really did not matter that Congress put the law on the books, it only took Abu Gonzales to write a directive ignoring a law...and now he's supposed to enforce them. Right.
...The nominee said he was committed to "justice for every American - on this principle, there can be no compromise."
Unless your name is Jose Padilla, or conversely Ken Lay, I guess. Right.
I wonder how the zealous prosecution of Kenny-boy would be carried out with old Abu Gonzales in charge over at Justice...interesting how Democratic donor Martha Stewart made it to the lock-up so quickly, but the very thief, Kenny-boy (our boy Abu was deeply involved with Enron's law firm) is still jetting around the world, living the life of a free man while the investors and employees he butt-fucked (it's that Values Thing) are still wondering why they did not get a kiss in the morning.
Let's give this one up, Jo. The Dems are going to cave. Alberto is going to have a smooth, clear ride into confirmation as our next attorney general, and very likely, into chief justice of our supreme court (I used to capitalize that title back when it was worthy of respect).
44% of Latinos. FORTY FOUR PERCENT. When only 35% went for Bush in 2000. Why the sea-change? Don't know... could it be...
MIGUEL ESTRADA? Yes. Yes it can.
Karl has turned finding arch-fascist token minority members into another of his art forms (to be fair, Colin doesn't play this, but then, Colin isn't listened to much either).
Let me make this easy: the country wants crazy shit extremist Republicans and their over-the-top rule. There's nothing we can do about it. I say we get out of the Republicans' way, and see just how much the country likes it.
If anyone wants to see a template for what can happen in a liberal democracy, engaged in an endless "war on terror" check out the BBC world news front page story on the RE- arrest of Israeli liberal and whistle blower Mordechai Vanunu. Things to come...........

Get yer tail out from between yer legs talking dog. Of course Alberto will be confirmed - but not before lots of embarassing questions. Politically, it's to our advantage if Bush appointments are loaded with baggage. Abughraiberto will be a rich target for ridicule. I say let's Reno-ize him and enjoy it. The big news last Tuesday was that Bush almost lost. Don't let Rove succeed in talking us into defeatism.
look for wedge issues to divide the GOP. The first one up to the plate will be Bush's apparent willingness to carry out an amnesty plan for illegals. While i am stunned Bush is catually doing this- he had already hinted at it, and i happen to support amnesty- this may not sit so well with some of the racist kooks I live around here in rural Georgia.
I want amnesty, but I want it to be a long and drawn out battle among the GOP.
There will be more wedgies for the nuts. Its just a matter of playing them the right way.
Abu Gonzalez...love it. That's how I will now refer to him on my blog (in fact, I got a start already, http://robschumacher.blogspot.com/2004/11/abu-gonzalez.html
Hope the "Google Bomb" explodes this one quick :)
Oh, to the Democratic Veteran and all vets out there...I'd like to offer my appreciation and a salute for all you've done for our nation. The current administration may not respect your sacrifices, but this sailor always will.

Happy Veterans Day! Thanks for pointing out what a fool this Gonzales is, his policy endangers every current or future POW via his disregard for Geneva.
But kerry was the one the one they villified for getting as many of them home as he could...

Jo, another fine piece of writing.
First and foremost, my deepest respects and sincerest thanks go out to all the War Veterans on today, November 11, 2004, OUR DAY! Sadly, instead of revelling in the celebration, I’m still boiling over the total disrespect these media creeps and Repugnant Fascists showed for John F. Kerry, one of my fellow Vietnam Vets and brother-in-arms.
Getting back to the RE-RE-RE-RECOUNT (I know Ashcroft won’t be dancing to this tune either). Anyway, here we are, four years after the last National Election that saw thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of American voters, being disenfranchised. Since then, the Repugnant Congress and this Illicit Bush Administration have done nothing to correct the problem, and (if you consider the effect of “Black Box Voting”) did more to exacerbate the problem than they did to alleviate it. That should be enough to open up everyone’s eyes to a possible conspiracy by the RNC.
Funny how the term BLACK BOX also refers to the clandestine CIA and NSA operations that employ the same kind of incidious acts designed explicitly to “steal an election” (Hey, they did it in South America and Africa, why not here?). It’s no wonder the trail of evidence is miraculously disappearing before our eyes. Abu Gonzalez's document shredding policies and "patriot actions" will go a long way toward squashing any further dissent.
Let’s see… the last time a man with the initials, JFK, went up against a man named George Bush and the “Military Industrial Complex”, they assassinated him. Then, just like today, the evidence that implicated Bush mysteriously vanished. Are we repeating history here?
Trust me; we saw only the tip of the iceberg when Tricky Dick and his cohorts were exposed for trying to steal another election. The depths that these U.S. Government Sponsored Terrorists will go to, is deeper than Hell itself; they make Satan look like a cute little puppy. Just once, I’d like to see these “Anti-Democracy / Anti-Republic / Anti-American” thugs get their just deserts. For starters, will someone please begin an investigation into The Carlyle Group and expose how they miraculously obtain confidential Military Contract Secrets in order to cheat on business deals and stuff their CEO’s pockets with billions of dollars from illicit War Machine Profits? Here’s a surprise, George H.W. Bush is on their payroll. How’s that for cronyism? Look out for the next news tidbit to hit the AP wire, when Ashcroft announces he’s moving his office next to James Baker’s.
Personally, I’ve had it with our election process and our government “of the people”. Like I told my born again relatives… “I voted for reason, sanity and peace, you and your Right Wing Fascist friends voted for fiscal irresponsibility, moral injustice and WAR, just so your "bishops" could ban abortion and parade around with crosses”. I suppose they consider it as being all in a days work for JESUS! Heaven forbid that anyone else in the world would pray for the compassion of God. Apparently, they have a stranglehold on that domain as well.
Keep up the fight! Remember… “55,000,000 Americans (plus a few hundred thousand disenfranchised voters) made the correct choice. They refused to go on a ‘man date’ with George W.”

You guys really kill me, ya'll sound like a bunch of whinning loosers! You and the other 55,000,000 that cast one into the bit bucket.
When they refered to MORAL VALUES what they where saying was that Kohn Jerry didn't have any!
Anybody who servers in a US military uniform and then goes fratrinizing with the ememy while some of our boys are still enaged ain't worth spit.
He votes to authorize military action and then fails to support them by voting against the funds to provide the needs to do what he asked them to do.
20 years in congress and there ain't one thing that he can truthfully say he did to make life in this country any better.
Did you hear about the time he went to Detroit bragging about the number of SUVs he owns and then denied having any at an Earth Day speach.
He tried to scare elderly folks in Florida by telling them there is a January surprise that will take thier Socail Security checks.
He tried to convince the youth just out of high school that they were going to be drafted into the military, knowing full well it would take a vote from congress that had already been defeated.
Perhaps ya'll have PEST (post election selection trauma), I understand its treatable. SEEK HELP !!!!

Yo, bitch, he took down BCCI, the terrorists' bank, and if he had done nothing else in 20 years in the Senate that alone would have made his reputation ... because he took it on when lots of more senior senators of BOTH parties were telling him to lay off.
Now, why don't you go wank off instead of soiling Jo's blog with talking points that passed their sell-by date many, many moons ago.

From Yankeedoodle to another repuke troll.
When you're finished sucking Karl Rove's dick, wipe your chin. Then march your Republican ass down to the Army recruiter and enlist in the combat arms. I suggest fuel handler as an enlistment option. You get to drive a nice big truck with a full bladder of JP4 strapped to the trailer bed. Much more excitement than spewing shit from a keyboard.
Support your president, dingleberry.

Dman obviously has mind blindness. Yeah, he's sucking the kool-aid direct from the tap of KKKKKarl's cock.
What a pathetic useless fuck. I was figuring that the worse was over.
The right wing isn't going to let us down, are they.

Boy they sure do know how to stay "on message," don't they.
Hey! The election's over DMan. Y'all stole it fair and square. Now hump on back to your bridge and get your bitch ass busy scaring goats or whatever it is you like to do to goats (Have you read My Pet Goat, yet? I hear W loved it.).
Moral values, huh? Well, since you seem like such an expert, my good friend Jennifer has a few questions for you. Your moral expertise is without peer, so why don't you give it a crack?
1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations.
A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7.
In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanness - Lev15: 19-24.
The problem is how do tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor
for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is, my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?
6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?
7. Lev.21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?
8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.19:27. How should they die?
9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops
in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different
kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend).
He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot.
Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev. 24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)
I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable
expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help.
Thanks so much for giving me a chance to clarify "moral values."
Doc Johnson
P.S. I hear my Marine Corps is still looking for a few good men. Why don't you give your local recruiter a call? Show somebody else what a big, bad, tough guy you are, hmm?
I find it odd to take such comfort in reading others cussing at dumbshits. I do my swearing in real life but don't do much of it in my writing. I got a split personality that way.
Anyway, did anyone watch Alan Reynolds from Cato Institute on c-span's Washington Journal this morning? This guy is really evil. I'd like to know when it became ok to gamble with our children's retirement by making them put their money in the stockmarket instead of something more secure? I'd like to know when someone decided that EVERYONE should be a "businessman" or "investor"? He gets my Scrooge award for being heartless. But ya know, he's actually worse than Scrooge cuz at least Scrooge didn't use the power of government to systematically deceive and povertize the people so that wolves like him can get rich. What I hate most, is his attitude that denies the inherent worth of human life and actively destroys any notion that anyone has any obligation to anyone else.
In the military you are taught to look out for each other, that someone's got your back and you have their's. To me, ANYTHING that works to destroy that in society is the greatest evil in the world. These people should be hunted down and skinned alive.
They are NOT human beings. They are hell-spawn on two legs. Anyone else get that feeling?
Amen Doc.
Little food for thought on this fine Friday:
Proverbs 12:5
A good man’s mind is filled with honest thoughts; an evil man’s mind is crammed with lies.
Got anything to say Dman?
Semper FI
p.s. - Hey Doc... My Marine Corps wouldn't want anyone like Dman. We value Integrity, Honor, Judgement, Bearing, Unselfishness, Loyalty, Justice, Dependability, Courage, and most of all - Tact: The ability to deal with others without creating offense.
Those are values I respect.

Dman, your rant is thin on facts and thick on bullshit. John Kerry may not have been the perfect man, but he had the honor and courage to stand up and say when something was wrong. He worked with the enemy to bring home our troops...after he was out of uniform, by the way. He served with honor in Vietnam, something few in the current administration can say. And he gave a damn about his men and his brothers in arms...that's why he spoke out against the war.
