The Persian Princess Diary

With his usual clarity and prescience (remember how he was soooo convinced about Iraq?), Der Duchess proclaims:

I cannot see how Iran will be prevented from becoming a nuclear power short of military action.
Doesn't this git ever get tired of being wrong? I guess next up will be some sort of vapid cheerleading for a military effort by his "servants", and a vague "rah-rah" for an all-but-incomprehensible foreign policy driving the hostilities, followed by some sort of recriminations about the command and force structure, punctuated by tear-jerking self-written e-mails from the "front".

OK, Andrew, I've now done your blog for you for about a year...go on out and start earning some money to pay off those back taxes on the beach house. After all, I'd be sad if the beagle was homeless.

Comments:

I can't really blame Iran for developing nukes. When some crackhead coward says you're part of an axis of evil, you better be ready to defend yourself.

Either war, or the bomb

we all know andrew sullivan is an irrelevant twit, and yet you continue to quote him and are, seemingly, obsessed with him. methinks you dost protest too much. ignore with extreme prejudice.

Aww, pickels. I know he's a twit, but it's just so much fun to play whack-an-idiot, and I don't have to pay the 25 cents to use the mallet here in my blog arcade.

Besides, it's always interesting to point out how one person can be on the same side of so many issues, after he's accused everyone else of the same thing. And he thinks there's not a thing wrong with his being/acting/writing like that.

And besides, Seb got Jonah Goldberg and Tbogg got the Gurdlettes...and Jesse and Ezra get everyone else.

I hate to agree with the Bushies but ... I believe Iran's probably working on a nuke.

And this is the problem with Iraq. We don't really have the resources to go after real problems.

hey Jo, Bring it On till Mission Accomplished -- till publishers stop paying Sullivan for his overwritten blather. why does he have a shred of cred left? Did you read that piece o' crap he wrote for the NYT sunday mag a few years' back? Waxing faux-scientific he claimed, based on his experiences injecting testosterone (to counter HIV I think), that biological determinism is it man, that's what it's all about. And oh the rush is so awesome!! he gushed repeatedly, it even made him miss his deadline once. To which author Richard Rhodes commented in a letter to the editor, "Rubbish. I've been taking testosterone for years to treat a hormone deficiency, and I've never had to use it as an excuse for missing a deadline."

Tony - Iran SHOULD BE WORKING ON A NUKE!! It's what the Bushco team taught them to do. Take a look at North Korea - Kim's got nukes and the ability to air mail to the same time zone as HI or CA. He can rant and rave and they don't do shit around him. Look at Iraq - Saddam ain't got nukes. So we invade, chase him into a spider hole, and take over proprietorship of the whole shebang. If I'm sitting in Tehran, I know which way I want to go - gimme the nuke.
