WAR -huh- What is good for?

According to Krugman, drawing attention from domestic policy failures current and future.

President Bush on Tuesday dismissed as "simply ridiculous" the idea that United States was preparing to attack Iran, but he warned that he was keeping all his options open as his administration tries to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
...
"This notion that the United States is getting ready to attack Iran is simply ridiculous," Bush said during a news conference Tuesday evening. "And having said that, all options are on the table."
Ah, yeah. Didn't this sort of talk occur, oh, about August of 2002?
"I'm a patient man," he said. "We will look at all options and we will consider all technologies available to us, and diplomacy and intelligence.
Lie lie lie, lie lie lie lie, lie lie lie.

If the truth ever fell out of Preznit Incredibly Insane's face, it would be proof that miracles might actually happen. Beloved Leader wants to invade Iran so bad, he's probably having wet dreams about charnal houses at night after his wife, Kindasleazy, tucks him into bed and kisses him on the forehead following a reading of "My Pet Goat".

Comments:

I just get a kick out of the double speak. No we will not go into Iran but all options are open. Well if we would not be going into Iran then at least one option would not be open.

Paul Krugman rocks!!!

Now with that said......

Just a thought about AKA Jeff Gannon. For several years apparently, Mr. Gannon/Guckert was plying his gay-escort trade over multiple Internet sites. At the same time, Attorney General John Ashcroft was using expanded surveillance powers under the Patriot Act to crack down on Internet prostitution. Kind of strange that Gannon/Guckert and John Ashcroft's paths didn't cross. Also, I read that Washington D.C. has some strict anti-prostitution laws. Has the D.C. DA begun an investigation into Gannon/Guckert's online male prostitution activities? During Watergate, Woodward and Bernstein followed the money to break it wide open. I would love to know if the D.C. DA has subpoenaed Gannon/Guckert's bank deposit records and charge card records to see who may have paid him for "services rear-endered," especially "services rear-endered" to anyone in the White House.

As Robin Williams said on "Real Time"... "Carl...Carl...are you there?"

Here's a scary thought for you ... what if we can't increase the size of the military for fear of setting off wars in North Korea and Iran? It's possible those two have stated they'll interpret any increase in our end strength as a prelude to invasion.

This isn't to say that Bush is making the wise decision in not expanding the size of the military. It means he screwed the pooch two years ago.

What 2+2 doesn't equal 5?!!

These people from the PNAC are starting to lean into starting a world war.

I hope these next four years go smoothly.

Draft within one year, invade Iran within three. The military is stretched so thin, even the reality-deniers in the White House can't pretend that what they say makes it reality. They need more people to die, so they need a draft. It will happen. They just need a month or two to get distance from Bush's over-the-top debate performance, which I have on my PC, in which he hops around saying there won't be a draft. Then there will be a draft.

We can tell he's lying because his lips are moving. Does flying over the country and dropping bombs on it count as an "Invasion"?

after the two year mark, he'll do it

In fact he'll let Israel do it then fuel up the fundies since he's already snubbed them over other promises.

They'll carry the war banner for him, as usual. Flawell, Stanley, Roberts, Robertson- all with Eberle's direct mail help!

Israel flyover, then we create a tonkin-type response.
