In re Schiavo

From Alice Marshall...the christo-fascists are already at it. Here's the "Culture of Life" on the march:

Attention Wisconsin voters, Republicans in your legislature are trying to take away your right to an Advanced Medical Directive-

"Legislation currently before the Wisconsin Senate allows doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other medical personnel who morally disagree with the guidelines regarding feeding and hydration tubes to ignore living wills and advance directives. The legislation already has passed the Republican-controlled Assembly and is likely to pass the Republican-controlled Senate."

Check this out. It's enough to make you ill.

Do I have to pre-emptively kill myself to avoid such indignities as this?

Gee, what if George W had interrupted his long August/Labor Day vacation in Texas in 2001 to study and act upon the intelligence reports on al Qaeda? Might 9/11 have been prevented? Is this the lesson that George W learned in returning to Washington to sign this special bill into law early this morning? What are George W's priorities? The numbers 3,000 to 1 come to mind. (Let's not even talk about the numbers from Iraq.) I'm surprised he did not try to replicate his "Mission Accomplished" landing just short of two years ago. Now George W can go back to the ranch and chop sagebrush and the tumblin' tumbleweed to his heart's content.

He went back the same day.

Wisconsin people are getting the republican treatment. If nothing else they could save hospitals money by having authority to shut off the heat and respirators.

Just pull the plug. Just say to oxygen.

They rolled back pollution standards so far that Canada made quite a voice over it. Sharing the same air and water and not holidng up their side of the bargain.

Make abortion illegal- then make birth defects and mortality more likely with pollution.

This is the opposite of the Shiavo case. States rights are being overridden in FLA. The opposite was true when they hijcaked the electoral process.

*Just say no to oxygen.*

Well if Ronnie only changed diapers once a week, everyone should. The hospitals have god's plan ready to enact.

Racial profiling for those who recieve plug pulls will probably be another issue of concern.

You're right...it did make me ill.

I see nothing "compassionate" nor "Christian" about these *assholes*.

(can I type that word in comments?)

Hunter Thompson, by all indications, might very well have.

Something to consider...

Hunter was a bigger man in his final moments than ANY Bush will ever be.
