Cognitive Dissonance

Is it just me, or was there something so wrong about the deserting, drunken, cowardly, craven bastard being the person to award a posthumous Medal of Honor to an incredibly brave soldier who put his men above himself? Has there ever been a time in the life of Bunnypants when he has put the needs of others before his own?

I mean, it's like seeing Beloved Leader go to the Wall. You just have a feeling that one of those 58,000 ghosts will appear and ask him: "Where the fuck were you, really?".

He has no more business being at a Medal of Honor ceremony than he does wearing a flight suit with gratuitous Navy Wings on it... what a fucking low-life.

I agree. I often wonder how his color guard manages to rein in their contempt for the man.

....and to think I've been all alone in my hatred of bush. Something is fishy about his whole rise to power....and it is scary to be sure.

Brings to mind a medal I seen once among a group of military bro's of mine - fashioned from beer cans.

I would be hard pressed to not just let the fucker drop on the ground at the ceremony myself.

Of course, the only problem with this is that, well, if the President dosen't hand out the medal, who would? I'm glad the man was honored, but I'm saddened how the honor was cheapened by BUsh merely touching the medal. I'm surprised it didn't burst into flames in his hand.

I'm surprised most Americans don't see the irony of this spectacle. Preznit yellow stripe pinning the MOH on a brave soldier, while he shirked HIS duty when it was his turn. I know it was hell protecting the Texas gulf coast from the VC--so much danger.

As usual his poll numbers drops he uses valor of others to hide behind.

Did the kid tell him off? Did he boo Bush like the crowd for the Pope funeral?

I had exactly the same thought. I have also wondered how I would handle it if I were to do something that typically receive presidential recognition. Obviously, I have a long and public history of hating this piece of shit so they would certainly not let me anywhere near him but, how great would it be to be nationally recognized as a "hero" and to have access to the bully pulpit for long enough to ensure these weenies know what I think of them.

Before the presidunce, my fantasies involved multiple gorgeous women and acts the pope would not approve of.

Damn!
