New Blog

I have been toying with the idea of a new blog...a photo blog (should be up in about a week or so). I was going to try a different approch to it...I would like to do some parts as sort of "photo-journalistic". Here's what I'm thinking: there are tons of blogs with pictures of peoples cats/flowers/kids etc...and they all have their place. What I would like to do, is to have you all (if you're interested) come up with "assignments" to augment what I'm going to do anyhow. It might be interesting and would certainly lead to some interesting aspects of the interactivity of blogging.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Slings ... Arrows?

To celebrate my new digital camera I'm planning a road trip to NYC, via some of the historical sites of American history, to include Savannah, Charleston, DC, and Princeton. So I could kick in some pics of the places where American democracy fought to live.

In DC I can maybe do some pics of where American democracy died.

And in NYC, I will do a photo expose of all the massage parlors.

I love it. Especially the massage parlors part. I guess St. Rudy could not overcome human nature, eh?

Archetecture of your town?
Places you love?
Coffee Houses?
Independent Bookstores?

Or just plain randomness with a little explaination why it caught your eye?

Not possible jo. Outrage fatigue prevents it... in a couple of years, if we can win back the country, it will be great.

Back to peacetime, and surplus, and movies and culture, especially music.

And the entire online community will be ready for it!

Filesharing live shows of mom n' pop bands, etc.

A great pic I missed, but will be ready for, next trip to Georgia:

Giant country gas station/mini-mall. Huge Lotto and Pick3, etc., signs, banners, everywhere. But still visible, on the counter by the register, nearly worn away by people plumping down their purchases, is a business-card size sticker: "Need help with a gambling problem? Call toll-free..."

Amurka the Beautiful!
