Apparently Mitt Romney (R-fucking opportunist) wants to go for the ban of Gay Marriage, you know, that horrible thing that's getting more Americans killed than IED's on the Baghdad Airport road. So horrible is the idea of loving, monogamous relationships to Romney that he seems to be pushing the matter as an amendment to the Massachusetts constitution. And boy does he have some support. From those Boy-lovin' Catholic Bishops.
Boston Archbishop Sean O'Malley and the bishops of the state's other three Roman Catholic dioceses pledged support for signature-gathering efforts.
Because, you know, homosexual sex should only be between a priest and his minor male charges. O'Malley just wants to revisit the Dark Ages, after all back then he'd have been a prince and all of us illiterate heathens or paupers or both. Gotta love their consistency, though.
It's just really hard not to tag all Catholics with the whole gay-bashing thing when you look at where the leaders of the church have been on the issues of their own "employees". I know that not all Catholics are in the same vein as these hateful men, but O'Malley and his peers and superiors are the voice of intolerance for an entire institution, maybe they need a close look in the mirror before passing out those petitions.

Here's a question I'd ask everyone supporting this: "How do the existence of gays affect *your* marriage?"
Ladies, if a fellow says he doesn't want to commit because there are gays out there, it's time to keep on walking.

Gov. Romney, a Mormon, made an appearance at the St. Patrick's Day festivities in Boston this year and in his turn at the mike (fortunately he did not sing an Irish ditty) he said: "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman ... and a woman ... and a woman ...." Maybe that is an old Brigham-Youngman (Henny) joke. Romney and his Lt. Gov. Healy could make a bundle posing for wedding cake dolls for heterosexuals. He obviously wants to run for President. This would be no great loss for Massachusetts as he has been the most ineffective Governor since Foster Furcolo. Yes, he's "purty" and perhaps not completely brainwashed. Massachusetts' gain would be the country's loss.

Hell, if they *really* want to protect marriage, then the solution is simple:
Ban divorce.
They say they get their marching orders from the Bible...well, the Bible has many, many prohibitions against divorce and ZERO prohibitions against gay marriage.
In fact, there's even a strong discouragement for remarriage after the death of a spouse (Paul).
So maybe their bumper sticker should read "One Man, One Woman, _One_ _Time_". I'm sure that the Opus Dei types will approve.
Let the gays marry, but don't let them divorce. That'll teach 'em.

Well, do you blame him for wanting to run for President. After all, he's just following in the footsteps of Dumbya, who established that the Presidency is the next career ticket to punch for an ineffective state governor.
