Hey, at some point in the next week or two (I really don't remember when since blogspot ate my earliest posts) DemVet will pass three years old. Gee, imagine that. So instead of sending cards, money and gifts do the 'roo hop over to skippy (if you haven't already) and help him reach One Million Hits by his Third Blogiversary. I understand he's pretty close.
Here we'll pass 300,000 served some time in the next couple of weeks, which amazes me. Any ideas about how to reach a bigger audience would be appreciated...I'm probably the only blogger I know whose readership is shrinking as their blogiversary goes by...but I blog to save my TV set from my steeltoed flight boots so don't look for me to give up any time soon.
Thanks y'all (they say that down here) for hanging in with me, leaving great comments and sending great emails! Here's to keepin' on keepin' on through at least 2008 when we reclaim it all!

It's not about hits, Jo. It's about having a voice (no small matter) and using it. On that level, you've been a resounding success.

terry is right, jo! and yours is one of the more sensible, least phlematic, excitable or vitriolic voices in blogtopia (yes, i coined that phrase!) for which you should be proud.

Congratulations -- the only thing wrong is your relative scarcity of posts. But maybe that's why the one's you do post are so good. Whichever, please keep writing.
Your decline in hits is entirely my fault, alas. I've been a bit of a no-show on the internets (at least, for non-purely-biziness reasons) for 8-9 months now.
I'll do better this year, and so will you. keep it up!

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials, I mean blogiversary. As a relative newcomer myself, I also enjoy the stress-relief that comes from pointing out the asshats in our gov't and the asshattery they spread. Thanks for making this a blog I look to frequently.

Congratulations. I was going to make a dumb joke about you faking your military service just to get hits, something along the lines of the whole BS thing with Kerry and the Swift Liars, but I thought better of it.
