Bubba?

Does anyone have any information about what happened to South Knox Bubba. There is a cryptic web page that says "GAME OVER" and a closing tag signed "skb".

Anyone?

Update
I got an email from Bubba. He says blogging has stopped being fun for him and had become more of a task than a pleasure.

I wish you and Mrs. Bubba all the best, know that you will be missed. Bubba and if you want ever to rent the soapbox here for awhile, the price is right for you: free. All the best...

Comments:

As I say at my place, Jo, I think he had to quit to save his business. Knoxville is not a kind place for liberals, especially those with a need to sell a product. Customers can get excitable.

I'm afraid he's decided to quit. He took down his site. SayUncle and Michael Silence have emails basically saying he just got sick of it. I personally blame that Metropulse deal.

I asked Fletch over at NoDirectionHome.net and he said that he received an email saying that it was basically becoming far too much trouble and time for the benefits he was receiving.

I wish I had a chance to say goodbye! Bubba is one of my must reads.

I wish I had a chance to say goodbye. Bubba is one of my must reads of the day. He gives a little bit of a connection back home and I love his writing.

I miss him already ... I read him all the time out here in California. All's I have to say - and I'm sayin' it elsewhere - is that I hope the Metropulse is happy!

. . . rent the soapbox here for awhile, the price is right for you: free.

The same offer goes at the Brain. Anytime Bubba needs the floor, it'll be cleared off for him.

Add me to the list of those handing over the soap-box to SK.

Chilling Post from SKB's blog (via observant reader):

It seems an incredibly bad idea to post your home address, and your employer's name and address on your blog.
My advice, if you value your job, is to remove every page from this server, and plan your next move (perhaps start another new blog).
Load a blank page for the site. Site gone. All pages gone. Forever.
Your call, but that's what I'd do in your situation, if I wanted to maintain my career track.

You could always blog as John Ashcroft. It does great for signing library checkouts(/civil disobedience).

SKB will have others step forward within the blog community. Power is shared by bloggers, nobody has a monoploy on the truth online. It's why the media tried its best to discrediit blogs already.

Other people in bubba's sphere of influence will move forward. TRB will diversify.

Diebold has the region in a lock out east still? I seem to recall people discussing its use in the town area back in the mid-90s, with serious misgivings.

It basically means the state elections get run from the middle west, and the ad revenue will go there. Eventually the market will adjust to the demand.

I also miss South Knox Bubba. Goodbye from Steve Plonk, Reliable Thibodaux( Old Reliable) and Rev. A. D. Bea. Have a great summer, SKB.
