Miss Me?

Well, it's nice to get back to the world again. So, we didn't pick up the seat in OH-2, but it seems that the OH GOoPers are running scared. A four-percent margin of victory in such a red district has to be leaving the GOoPers in charge scratching their nutsacks or whatever the gender-appropriate appendage is.

On a more positive note, it looks like some Democrats are finally going to get off their checkbooks and begin to fund some progressive advoacacy organizations. Gee, the New American Fascists have had a pretty exclusive playing field for quite a number of years funded by the Scaifes, Olins and others...it's nice to see that the money is going to be forthcoming for some non-lying advocacy...'bout time.

Now the "advocacy" groups just need to remember that the objective is not to save the spotted owl, but to retake the reins of government to help protect all the owls in the forest, sensibly and with a "plan". I think that any efforts need to start with drilling home the lying, cheating and shredding of the Constitution that the 1600 Crew and their allies has been doing and how that's about as un-American as you can get (especially the Shredding the Constitution part), and still retain citizenship in the US of A.

ps...I'm looking for a new gig, y'all. Drop me an email... :)

Comments:

Not that this is an original thought, but that district used to forward lots of $$$ to the national republicans. This time it sucked money out of those coffers. Lots of money that had not been budgeted for fighting for a "safe" seat. Two rules:
1)It isn't who votes or how many, it is who counts the votes that matters.
2)It's the money, it's always the money, the flow from one stream has been reversed, many more streams remain to be reversed.

...and not just southwestern Ohio. Cross the river south into my home state of Kentucky and check out the travails of the current Republican governor, Ernie Fletcher, and his administration. Larry Dale Keeling's blog http://blogs.kentucky.com/kykurmudgeon/ for the Lexington Herald Leader sums things up pretty well, but the short version is that the Democrat Atty General has gotten, at last count, 21 felony indictments for violations of the state's merit hiring law.
