Ah, with Preznit A Crony Too Far, there's never enough to say about the patently unqualified. Except to make shit up.
In his weekly radio address yesterday, Bush praised Miers as "a remarkable woman and an accomplished attorney"
My grandmother is a remarkable woman and an accomplised chef, think she can get a position as the Executive Chef at the White House? Nah, didn't think so.
Well, if there are any cases that come before the Supreme Court that involve deadbeat tenants and fishing shacks, then she is The Woman. Conversely, she was last seen wandering around the West Wing looking for a woman named Miranda who wanted to talk to the police.
Because you know, you can never be unqualified enough to be a 1600 Crew Crony Appointee. Right?

Miers has days back to AWOL's scrubbing guard files and bribing potential whistle blowers.

There likely will be cases coming before the Supreme Court that will involve people who will be labeled 'deadbeat tenants' who just couldn't pay the rents charged by the new upscale landlords in new New Orleans--even if the 'tenants' may previously have owned the property that no-bid contractors managed to obtain rights to in the 'rebuilding' efforts. NOLA will probably look a lot like the paradise vacation spots in Mexico where the clientele are wealthy, by-and-large white and comfortable, pampered by 'locals' who live in Hotel-owned off-site shanties. And the bankruptcy ruling will be reaffirmed and codified. Miranda rights? Miranda is just fine, she got her rights so why is everyone complaining anyway? If they want rights let them go before the Supreme Court and get some in their own name.

Every time I've hired someone with a dubious resume I've regretted it. I've had to modify the job, transfer them, or let them go. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court does not have "at will" employment!
