Watching M_Ann Coulter self-destruct on Bill Maher was pretty funny. She was almost shaking with anger over the appointment. Gotta love that. I think she was almost about to call Beloved Leader retarded, but caught herself at the last minute, knowing that would nix any chance she'd ever have for getting to compete with Condi for "best beltway stillettos" at the next conservitard love-fest. But enough about Ms Adams Apple 2004.
This column in the Post has a really amusing (in that ironical way) comment by George Allen, who is probably the only man in the republican party actually stupider than Jeff Sessions and Beloved Leader.
Here are a few snippets of comments made about Miers by GOP senators often mentioned as considering presidential bids in 2008:
* Sen. George Allen (Va.): "I want to be assured she's not going to be a [Associate Justice David] Souter."; "Right now, I'm keeping an open mind. I need to learn more. I'm trying to discern as best I can what her judicial philosophy is."
Last word was that the problem was that Allen's staff could not find an illustrated book with large fonts that led him through Harriet Miers thought processes. Word on the street is that they are trying to contract with Jonah Goldberg to write one, but Jonah is too busy analyzing old Star Trek episodes for clues about how to treat hostile aliens who want have sucked out the Captains Brains.
