Hey, if Fitzgerald indicts Cheney and VP Fartus One has to resign then Preznit Offal Humper would be free to withdraw The Miers nomination and name her as the most qualified candidate in Jesus' name to be Vice President.
At this point Offal Boy can really orgasm his base of righteousness by appointing Herr John Ashcroft to the SCOTUS vacancy.

But that fits with the *contraceptive philosophy* of the Catholic Faith...But, WAIT - Miers is NOT a Catholic according to the Catholic Diocese.
No baptism, First Eucharist and confirmation - are all standards of being considered a member of the "Catholic Faith."
So - what exactly WAS Harriet Miers religious upbringing and faith for the first 35 years of her life?

The wheels are falling off the Bushwagon.
The real estate deal and the fact that Harriet apparently repeatedly failed to pay her property tax is stunning. Either the Bush team didn't know (not surprising considering Miers was heading up the search team) or simply assumed they could get away with the Leona Helmsly defence "only the litte people pay taxes".
I had mixed feeling on Miers. On the one hand you had "ideologically this is the best we can get" on the other "time to take a stand against the Bushwhacker". But a humilating withdrawel of Miers before she even has a hearing lands a belly blow on a Bush already reeling around the ring.
It's a slow moving train wreck. You know you shouldn't watch but you just can't help peeking through your fingers.
