GoOPers hate Veterans, see?

Golly gee whiz...

On Tuesday - three days before Veterans Day - House Veterans' Affairs Committee Chairman Steve Buyer (R-IN) announced that for the first time in at least 55 years, "veterans service organizations will no longer have the opportunity to present testimony before a joint hearing of the House and Senate Veterans' Affairs Committees."

Remember that Buyer was handpicked by criminally-indicted Rep. Tom DeLay (R-TX) to replace former veterans committee chairman Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), who had been extremely vocal about the consistent underfunding of veterans causes.

The Disabled American Veterans, the "official voice of America's service-connected disabled veterans," just issued a scathing release calling the move "an insult to all who have fought, sacrificed and died to defend the Constitution." The timing, they said, "could not have been worse."

How much more do you need to know?

They hate us. They really hate us.

November 2006 is coming. The Atrocities are being documented. Don't be whiny pussies when you lose, 'K GoOPers?

I don't think they really hate us. I think they think that once we're of no further use to them we're not worth spending any money on that could more usefully go to Halliburton, etc.

The GOP does not really support the troops or veterans. Somehow Americans have been hoodwinked into thinking that the GOP is strong on nat'l security and that must mean they, the GOP, support the troops and veterans. Bullshit. It's a monumental lie. What they really support is the military industrial complex and veterans but only in an election year.

This is the kind of repub crap against vets that we have to make the general population aware of - and then constantly repeat. Call your local papers, write or email local, state and national legislators for your areas, etc.
I knew this kind of shit would happen as soon as Delay installed this Buy asshole - my only surprise is that it took so long.
Expose them for what they really are. If you have to become a persistent pain to media, legislature, etc. - do it.
The hypocrisy of the repubs is simply amazing.
