When I went to SAC in '84, our mission was getting the bombers in the air in case of World War 3. They estimated we had 7 minutes to launch 'em all before the base (and Dallas/Ft. Worth) was blown to shit by incoming Russian nukes. We survived.

I find it very inconvenient that those of us who actually served in uniform, whether in peace time or war, seem to be pretty much Liberal/Progressive, and all those who didn't, for one reason or another, seem to be pretty much conservative/fascist.
