Yeah, it's Death Squad Days in Iraq. Gosh Golly, who would have thought that an administration stocked with the remnants of adminstrations from Nixon to Bush 1 would be egging on the development of Death Squads as Foreign Policy.
The U.S. ambassador urged Iraq's divided leaders to rein in militias on Saturday as political blocs failed again to break a deadlock on forming a unity government that they hope can avert civil war.
... "More Iraqis are dying from the militia violence than from the terrorists," he told reporters during a visit to a Baghdad youth center newly renovated with U.S. funds.
"The militias need to be under control." my emphasis
Yeah, we're doing good over there...rebuilding power plants, painting schools, fomenting democracy and goddamn...encouraging the development of Death Squads as Foreign Policy. We've seen this movie before. What's the difference between an "insurgent" and a "death squad"? Seems that it's whether or not your ultimate nominal leader is Osama bin Forgotten, or Preznit Sniffin' D. Coke

Well, when we heard Negroponte was going to Iraq, we knew what was going to happen, although I suspect it would have happened anyway.
And now, chickengeorge bush thinks it's up to him who the Iraqis choose as their PM.

If conservative zealots really had any values Negroponte would have been put in jail after the carnage in Latin America. Elections plus a constitution are just window dressing without stability and the institutions that instill that stability, but hey good times if you own Halliburton stock.

It's official folks I am now one of the Senate candidates for the U.S. Senate in Arizona against Jon Kyl.
My first official statement is that the congressional leadership of this country not only censure President Bush but that they IMPEACH HIM IMMEDIATELY !
If they could impeach President Clinton for Sex, they can and should impeach President Bush for negligently causing the deaths of over 2000 of my fellow comrades. More of our beloved soldiers will die Iraq if we don't raise hell (
Another thing to all of my friends and supporters who know my email: don't think I'm not reading your email that's not the reason I haven't responded. Mysteriously and coincidentily MSN HOTMAIL will not let me access my account. This is very strange because I have had this account for almost a year and for the last 3 or 4 days I have not been able to access the account. Who knows George Bush and his Un-American fellow gangsters are now using my email account to try and indict me for lies they trumped up against me in the military.
Well, I got news for you Bush and Company lie all you want about my service in Iraq but not once did I shirk going out of the wire with my brothers in 2nd platoon. Nor, did I try to get out of going outside the wire by making up excuses. I was there with my brothers and witnessed both their tragedies and their triumphs.
Now, I believe that by running as a candidate for this U.S. Senate seat I am fighting no less for the survival of my country beloved Declaration of Independence and constitution.
I will in the very near future announce the location of my formal announcement for the U.S. Senate. MY CAMPAIGN CAN BE REACHED AT 623-205-2832. Please tell your friends in Arizona I need volunteers especially to gather signatures to get on the ballot.
GOD bless the United States of America.
NOT ONE MORE AMERICAN SOLDIER SHOULD DIE IN IRAQ !
DOWN WITH THE KING !

Yeah, had I known in 2001 what I know now, I'd've sold my house and lived with my parents, and put every cent into Halliburton/oil co. stocks.
I think the W stands for 'weasel dust', by the way.
Long-term cocaine use: "...leads to a state of increasing irritability, restlessness, and paranoia. This may result in a full-blown paranoid psychosis, in which the individual loses touch with reality and experiences auditory hallucinations."
Maj. Tim Powledge, USMC, CO of Wpns Co., 3/7 Marines and the son of a friend landed at March AFB yesterday along with the rest of the 3/7. It was their second tour in Iraq, this time in Ramadi, which was Very Bad News.
Welcome Home, Tim and the 3/7.
Now let's get everybody home.

For many months now I have been forced to stay quiet on what really happened to me for having my blog in Iraq. I am no longer in the ACTIVE DUTY ARMY. This means that I will no longer be forced to stand by while those in Bush's Dictatorship threaten me with death or imprisonment. To be sure they might try anything to stop me from telling my side of the story : That of a plain American soldier who did "the mission" and served with his fellow comrades proudly even though that mission was one that needlessly killed or maimed his fellow soldiers and still continues to do so as he writes these words.
I have chosen Dailykos to put out my side of the story rather than writing a book right now because even if I could gain money from such an endeavor I would not be able in good conscience to profit off of it, like so many of the corporations who are profiteering off the blood of my fellow American soldiers. This would be blood money. Later in this writing I will explain how if any money were to be donated I would like it to be donated to the Not For Profit Foundation that I set up for my fellow injured soldiers in the Arizna 860th MP Company and toward maimed children of war.
You see, ladies and gentelmen, it is not the terrorist that Mr. Bush and his cronies are trying to keep secrets from. Unfortunately, due to the inept and corrupt running of our foreign policy by his tainted appointed leaders the terrorist already know what's going on to the point the soldiers on the ground joke about it. No, what's really happening is that the Bush administration and those who sympathize with his criminal and impeachable actions are trying to keep the American public from knowing what is really going on in Iraq.
Now, what Mr. Bush and his cronies are conducting is a well oiled, well funded public relations campaign of denial and a secret campaign of thuggery against former soldiers and soldiers still in the Active Duty to not only discredit them but to actually have them killed or imprisoned.
As outrageous as that sounds think to yourselves for a moment... Mr. Bush, now has been given wartime powers even though there is no officially declared war and the other branches of government have now to a large extent acquiesced their powers to him (even though they deny this).
You probably ask-like many other people-why if the American public is not being told the truth about what is really happening on the ground in Iraq, why don't more soldiers such as myself speak up. First of all, there are many soldiers who are speaking up but the problem is that the media-which is controlled to a large extent by a handful of corporate organizations-are not getting these soldiers stories out except when (The Criminal in Chief) Bush's jack booted thugs put out press releases that discredit these soliders.
Now, another reason more soldiers don't speak out is the one of huge and intense intimidation. Many soldiers such as myself are in the "Working Poor" category. They cannot afford to have retribution against them because financially and psychologically they know that they could end up out on the streets and the strain could destroy their marriages, not to mention having a clean military record is a huge thing to be proud of which Bush would try to do also.
So, these are a few of the reasons you don't hear of more soldiers like myself speaking out against the Bush occupation of Iraq. Ladies and gentelmen it is hard to express in words the huge intimidation felt being exerted on us by Bush, his crooks and jack booted thugs.
We as soldiers (many of us anyways) are now being forced to sign secrecy statements an extra time when we get out of the service. Now, we all know that we don't want secrets to get out but we have been told in ambiguous terms that if we even express our opinions on the war that it is strongly hinted all kinds of actions will be taken by the first king of America George Bush.
Now, I am not making any money off of these words. If any money is made I hope to donate all to a non-profit foundation for my former fellow soldiers in the 860th Az. Army National Guard Company and for orphans of wars around the world.
Yes, I am running for the U.S. Senate but I am doing so (despite all of the pain and slurs against my family name that it entails)because I feel it is (as corny as it sounds) my patriotic duty to do so. It is the only thing right now that I know might make a difference in saving this beautiful country that I know and its constitution.
The whole irony is that his royal heinous George Bush the Third is methodically strangling our constitution and the old values of Republicanism and Democracy one day and one American soldier's life at a time every day more that he sits in office.
In the days to come, I will through Daily Kos do my best to tell this soldier's story about the truth in Iraq. Now, in fairness to the soldiers whom disagree with me, they must know that there are other soldiers whom do agree with what I am doing to stop the needless killing of our fellow brother and sister soldiers. You soldiers whom disagree get all the free media you want on many airwaves including the King's pedastel at White House press conferences. We will get our story out and even if you threaten me injury or death, I would rather die here in my beloved Arizona and United States of America than in Iraq.
It's not going to be easy be cause I am very busy and very poor but as much as I would like to quit this battle sometimes and go back to anonymity I cannot and will not do so out of loyalty to my honorable ancestors, forefathers,American citizens, fellow soldiers and not least of all THE TRUTH.
Now, Ladies and Gentlemen, if more than a day goes by that you do not see this journal series : LEONARD CLARK OIF III SOLDIER BUSTED FOR BLOG BY ME THE DAMNED LIBERAL than know that Bush and his jack booted thugs have even attacked me as an American citizen and civilian whether through jail, court restraining order or death.
One last thing don't believe believe their lies about me I am not a bad person even though they will attack me with everything they have to try and discredit me so that no one will believe that I am telling you the truth about what I saw in Iraq during my tour of duty OIF III.
Please call me at 623-205-2832 if you need to contact me or help volunteer on my Senate Campaign here in Arizona against Jon Kyl.
Sincerely,
Leonard Clark
