Sign Zee Paper...

Note to all the piss-ants who stood by Preznit Decider and his veto of the stem-cell research bill:

"Because of my strong opposition to embryonic-stem-cell research, I hereby pledge that should I, at any point in the future, develop diabetes, cancer, spinal-cord injuries or Parkinson's, among other diseases, I will refuse any and all treatments derived from such research, at home or abroad, even if it costs me my life. Signed, ______"
Now that boyz and girlz is what I'm talking about. If they don't believe it's ethical, then they nor their families should ever be allowed to reap the benefits of that research, no how no way. Cruel, you say? Think of their poor kids/wives/parents. Why no...they did not think of anyone else's relatives when they took that stand. Who gives a shit about them now?

Not me. Sorry if that's kind blunt, but you know what? They made their own beds...let them lie in them.

Comments:

Having two brothers with Type I diabetes, just for starters, I am so with you.

Farking moral midgets.

Now, THAT's what I'm talking about. Put yo money where yo mouf is, G!

With all the data collection going on in the voting circles, from the politicos - someone should collect that dataset from the stemcell votes and compile a list of who voted against it, and send it to all the major insurance carriers and hospitals.

Those of you who voted for it, no worries!!!!

The rest of you, too fucking bad!!!!

It would be so nice to be able to say to Babs and GHW, "Well, your son signed the bill into law, we can't save his life", Or the rest of the Christofacists if their sons or daughters suffer a spinal cord injury or Type 1 diabetes etc. Time for all the shirkers to stand up, take responsibility for their actions and not run and hide from what they did or ask daddie's friends to bail you out...

Loathe as I am to disagree with you, Jo, the fact is that they made a lot of other people's beds and those other people are now forced to lie in them. Including my mother-in-law, who has Parkinson's. My feeling is that they shouldn't just have to sign that paper in case they get one of those diseases: they should be induced to have those diseases and live with them and then they can tell us all about how much they value life.

They think they're carrying out "god's will" and are all so holy and wonderful. They'll all rot in hell for this.

By the way, my mother-in-law is a vet. She was in the Navy and worked as an air traffic controller...in Kansas! She was in the Navy in Kansas. She joined to see the world and she got to see Kansas.

She laughs about it.

Uh, I think that the wealthy representatives that voted to kill stem cell research would have no problem to be the first in line to receive the benefits from stem cell research. Anyone want to bet otherwise?
