Majority Leader

Hoyer vs. Murtha. I'll take Murtha, please. Much of what has been accomplished has been because of his courage in coming forward and breaking the Happy News Cycle coverage of Iraq. That took the kind of courage that needs to be rewarded.

Steny Hoyer's main acheivement of record that I can remember off the top of my head is the proposed expansion of the Washington DC ADIZ (Air Defense Identification Zone) aka "The Fear Zone" around the Baltimore-Washington area because well, he's askeered and feels that more restrictions are better than less.

I'm in with that--if Murtha is willing to respect the substantial presence to his left (and I believe he will). I'd also expect him to keep the ranks on the up & up.

I vastly prefer Rep. Murtha to Hoyer and Emmanuel for Majority Leader. Hoyer is K-Street addicted, and Emmanuel can't get over the fact that Howard Dean's 50 state strategy worked. Murtha's for real toughness should strike fear in the executive branch of this failed regime; they think that Swartzenegger is a combat vet, for crissakes. Murtha'll eat 'em for snacks. They aren't fit for lunch :D.
