And if it isn't enough to make you believe that Church and State should never, ever be joined at the hip...here's a little bit of depressing information from Nigeria. Yup, I'm sure that whatever that law is, it makes it worth killing a little kid's mom over.
The President of Nigeria said "I don’t think what is going on will lead to her death,” Obasanjo told reporters. “Indeed, if it does, which I very much doubt, I will weep for myself, I will weep for Amina and I will weep for Nigeria.” AND WE TALK TO/DEAL WITH THESE M****F***ers?
Let the Religious Right bitch all they want about "god" in the classroom and everywhere else...this proves to me that fanaticism is fanaticism and they're all fanatics. Can't the US Embassy get her out of there? After all 50% of Nigeria is Christian...oh yeah, she's black. Sorry.
Slowly, the Judiciary seems to be waking up to the Justice Department's excessive security "needs". There are about three kinds of security that are needed to function as a country: OPSEC (Operational Security) for the military; you know loose lips and all that, COMSEC (Secure Communications) for those who need to communicate details of an ongoing military operation or sanctioned, legal, investigation (i.e. the courts are involved and due process is/will be afforded the investigatee) and finally all that shit involving Nukes...you really don't need to know about where, how many or how to operate a Nuke unless you are getting ready to send one on it's way, trust me on that one. Anyhow the Court of Appeals in Ohio has ruled that "democracies die behind closed doors,". Last time I looked, we were at "war" to defend our democracy, not destroy it from the DoJ building in DC. Many thanks to the court and the three judges for showing real courage.
Let's hope that the five nitwits who installed the current illegal (p)resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave do not rule differently. They might have to wake Clarence "Uncle" Thomas up
